25.01.2022 Sanding and chemical cleaning of old weathered teak decks that have become grey, uneven and ridged can transform a tired old deck into something much more respectable. Teak decks will last much longer when they are cared for.

23.01.2022 This week we said farewell to Ocean Explorer, as it departs towards New Zealand for the Americas Cup! An incredible dual purpose built boat for the Explore Group as part of their Whitsundays Island experience. Designed to be used for snorkelling & dive trips to the reef during the day and for twilight river cruises in the evening. 23.6m in length & fit with on board dive refill tanks, the luxury vessel is industry leading in it's design quality and features. ... The team at Wild Cat Marine, with the support of Commercial Marine Australia completed the boat in March when it was due to return to the Whitsundays for the touring season. However due to Covid, the boat was unable to return and has since been stored in TYBs facilities. 18.01.2022 Another Stradbroke Ferries tourism vessel 'Moreton Escape' is in for some scheduled maintenance at The Yard Brisbane. This 36m vessel is a car ferry with a smallish air conditioned passenger lounge and several open air decks. It can accommodate 19 cars and 300 passengers on any given trip.

The Yard Brisbane and on-site Marine Specialist GT Mac is supporting this project by abrasive blasting and painting the 30-meter jetty sections then moving the completed sections by travel lift to the Brisbane river for their final journey to Mission Beach. When completed the project will form a public asset of 100+ metres of jetty.... The scope of works at Clump Point will provide improved boating infrastructure, facilitate local economic development, enable joint commercial and recreational usage and respect the rich natural environment and cultural heritage of Mission Beach.
