06.01.2022 We thought you might be interested to know that The CHIP Foundation has produced a new e-guide on Acceleration. Like all our e-guides, it's a comprehensive, but accessible, discussion of some of the issues and terminology that surround this jargon-laden area. It contains a general glossary of terms at the back of the e-guide which you may find handy in your child's educational travels. Additionally, this e-guide contains the (generously donated) stories of several parents, describing their and their child's experiences navigating this often difficult area of the educational landscape.
05.01.2022 It is with a deep sadness that the CHIP Foundation must inform its readers of the death of Dr Glen Alsop. Glen passed away this morning, 21 January 2012. Over more than two decades of tireless work in identifying and supporting children of high intellectual potential (CHIP) Glen touched many people’s lives and made a genuine difference. We all grieve together at this sad time. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are extended to her family.... If you wish to contact Glen’s family or if you have a query about any matter on which you may have been dealing with Glen, our Chairperson Dr Gail Byrne can be contacted via email at [email protected] . Gail will either pass on messages or will assist you with your enquiry.
