20.01.2022 During 2010, our principal guitar tutor and business owner David Thirgood was a defining figure of "The Big Foozle" sessions at The Albion Hotel. Two performers were chosen to front a house band and up to 200 people with only 1 rehearsal! It was a crazy time and some very special moments were created "in the moment"... just like this guitar solo!

20.01.2022 We know it's great for people to see our past and present students "live" and "in action", but our guitar tutors have history too! Here's a great clip from 2011 where one of David's students - Angelena Locke - got on the mic and rallied the audience to get David up and sing. We know that this clip still holds a very special place in his heart. Thanks Ange for making this happen!

11.01.2022 We’re very excited to announce that we have made the addition of some slat-wall to house guitars, a new student chair with additional footstool for the younger students, a very comfortable parent chair and a completely revamped waiting area outside! While there’s still some small additions to be made, I think we can call this studio complete Let us know what you think in the comments below!

11.01.2022 THROWBACK TUESDAY: This video is a HUGE favourite of our guitar tutor, David Thirgood. Idan was a very long term student who showed a natural ability for the guitar from his very first lesson at age 7. Idan's consistent practicing coupled with his genuine love for music and the guitar ensured that he progressed quickly. David and Idan shared a love for so many different songs and performed together countless times, but this performance captured something special, natural and organic between these two musicians. 06.01.2022 At the height of the "Night Of Young Stars" student concert series, we were holding up to 3 concerts in an afternoon/evening every term. This timelapse video is a fantastic "behind the scenes" look at how those shows were set-up, rehearsed, performed and pulled-down. A lot of hard work from students, teachers, parents and volunteers goes in to shows such as this to create a relaxed platform for students to showcase their immense talents.

05.01.2022 One of our "Top 10" videos of all time - this time, all the way from 2009! Jack - the guitarist on the left - makes his performance debut at the "Night Of Young Stars" student concert. Jack always displayed amazing groove and stage presence even at the tender age of 13. Jack continued tuition until leaving high school and was promptly hired as a tutor by David Thirgood for his tuition school. Jack continues to this day to successfully teach many students and bring the joy of guitar in to the lives of young musicians. Tag: Jack Willis
