25.01.2022 Two additional COVID-19 testing sites in Yarra Ranges are set to be open as of Thursday, 9 July: Warburton Recreation Reserve, 3455-3457 Warburton Highway,... Warburton, from 9.30am-11.30am Wesburn-Millgrove CFA, 3060 Warburton Highway, Millgrove, from 1pm-3pm The State Government has extended the number of testing sites around Melbourne to prevent the need for community members to travel large distances to be tested. If you’re feeling unwell, please get tested. We’ll provide further information on these testing sites when more details come to hand.

24.01.2022 Mobile Testing Clinic Yarra Valley In an effort to reach as many communities as possible, a series of COVID-19 pop up sites are being held across the Yarra Valley. This Thursday the 24th of September the pop up testing team will be at:... 10:30-11:30 Redwood Centre (3505 Warburton Hwy, Warburton) 12:00-1:00 Millgrove Reserve (20 Moore Cres, Millgrove) This screening is free of charge; all you need is your Medicare card. No booking is required but wait times may vary. The symptoms to watch out for are: * Loss or changes in sense of smell or taste * Fever * Chills or sweats * Cough * Sore throat * Shortness of breath * Runny nose In certain circumstances headache, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea may also be considered.

23.01.2022 This is Taylar. An emergency arose on a weekend, a person was in need. Without a second thought, Taylar located that person, introduced herself and offered them support. She let them know they weren’t alone and gave them information about local services. Be like Taylar. Our volunteers are the best. #volunteering

22.01.2022 The team in Victoria got a little creative with their home deliveries this week! Mary has been in social isolation since Victoria went into lockdown the first t...ime. As a cancer survivor with other ongoing medical conditions, going out to collect groceries isn't an option. "After a fall, Mary told her regular delivery driver she was struggling emotionally," says Sue, the ADRA volunteer manager at Ferntree Gully. "We have really connected with Mary and wanted to do something to cheer her up." Mary loved her surprise visit. "She had a laugh and a cry, as she realised someone DOES care," says Sue. 08.01.2022 UPDATE William has still not been found. Many wonderful police members., SES and volunteers are searching. Food is being provided behind the police station and toilet facilities, tea, coffee and snacks are available at the Redwood Centre. Thank you to the amazing local businesses and people for all of your support.

06.01.2022 Yarra Ranges is one of Victoria’s largest and most varied municipalities, and we understand that during this difficult time, previously simple tasks lik...e getting groceries might be a little more difficult, particularly in areas like the Upper Yarra. It is okay to travel further than 5km to access things that are essential; but, not simply for preferences. If you need it and it’s essential, and you can’t get it within 5km, then it’s okay to go to the nearest provider. We need to remember that staying home is one of the most important things we can do to stop the spread of COVID-19. Please only leave home or the 5km radius from your home if it’s absolutely essential. As a community we are in this together, so be kind to yourself and be kind to others. 05.01.2022 RIVERSIDE DRIVE, WARBURTON CLOSED. Landslip on Riverside Drive, Warburton. Council and contractor crews have been working to make the area safe. The call was m...ade at 10:30pm last night to remove all machinery and crews until daylight, as the embankment was still slipping and large rocks/debris were still falling onto the road. Council engaged Traffic Control to fully close the road between 350 Riverside Dr and Giffords Rd (No property access are between these two sections). 05.01.2022 The School-based apprenticeship program teaches students skills in Horticulture to obtain a Cert 2 while being employed. This year despite the limitations of COVID they have grafted tomatoes, planted native trees, completed summer and companion planting, propogation and composting - while using no pesticides or herbicides.
