15.01.2022 Roast lamb, salads, al fresco dining & a sparkling red... can I get any more Aussie? On this Australia Day eve, I acknowledge that our country has a long way to go in rebuilding and repairing the damage done to our indigenous people, and I appreciate not wanting to celebrate the 26th of January as our national day. I’ll be spending what’s gonna be a 35 degree day in the pool, drinking some delicious Aussie wines and having a good ol’ BBQ #straya ... I had this yummy spread last night - slow cooked lamb, beetroot & feta salad with watermelon and rockmelon, all washed down with the stunning Peppermint Paddock sparkling red from iconic d'Arenberg #thewinewench

03.01.2022 Okay winos. How do we feel about ice cubes in red wine?? The hot climate here in Aus does lend itself to a chilled red for sure, and sometimes there's nothing I crave more! But... an ice cube? Not sure how I feel about watered down wine! Thoughts? This was my cousin's handiwork. I asked her, why don't you just pop it in the fridge?
