17.01.2022 It's with a heavy heart that we announce that we won't be opening this weekend, and probably not again for a month or so. To be frank we just can't afford to keep things running without artists to play and people to come see them. We hope to be up and running again soon, helping to dish out the good times one pint at a time alongside the artists, punters, staff and suppliers that have made The Aardvark their home. We've got some big plans but for the moment they will have to... wait. It's tough out there at the moment so support small business and the arts community where you can. 03.01.2022 We are pretty proud that as a venue we are welcoming to all punters who show respect to those around them - regardless of what they look like, who they like or who they are. But events over the past few days have really thrown things into perspective. We need to start being active rather than passive. While we cant open at the moment and dont have much cash to throw around (thanks COVID) weve put what we can muster towards this worthy cause. The Aboriginal Legal Service of WA does great work representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the WA justice system. So if youve got some spare cash wed encourage you to donate what you can.
