22.01.2022 Did you know that our gorgeous Women’s Health Physio Claire has launched her new website? https://www.thewomensphysio.com/ Not only is she a Physio but also a damn good Pilates Instructor too! ... We strongly suggest that our clients work with Claire or a women’s health Physio along the journey of their pregnancy and post baby to ensure they receive the best care when it comes to your body and baby! We want you to have the confidence to return to exercise post baby and be able to go back to doing those higher impact exercises with confidence down the track. So many women are to scared or ashamed of their pelvic floor concerns or don’t think that their abdominal separation is that bad when these are just a couple of key issues that we both hear our community of women say regularly to us, when really they should be discussed openly and measures put in place to prevent them from occurring. That’s why we have teamed up with an amazing group of women who are here to help you on your wellness journey no matter what stage of life you are in. Check out @the_womens_physio for a private consult or for more information on her #activecollective #womenshealthphysio #northernbeaches #womenswellness #prenatal #postnatal #pilates #core #reformer #baby #fitness #mum #fitmum #goodcorehealthybody

04.01.2022 Why every woman should be seeing a Women’s Health Physio pre and post baby Women’s bodies are incredible things. Not only do we have the ability to create life, we carry a small being for 9-10 months and then deliver this little person into the world and yet we expect our bodies to bounce back to a pre baby body within weeks with no further complications. Unfortunately for most women this isn’t the case. Yes, you hear so many stories of mothers who had a text book p...regnancy and birth and their pelvic floor and core are now ... but for a majority of women this is not the case. It is so important to see a Women’s Health Physio during your pregnancy to work on a plan to treat and manage any joint pain and discomfort and to work on engaging your pelvic floor correctly via an ultrasound. Post baby every mother should be reviewed at 6-10 weeks to see if she had any abdominal separation and if so how to manage it correctly and also if there is any pelvic floor weakness or prolapse that may have occurred after birth. Our medical system isn’t designed to hold your hand past the birth of your baby stage. It is up to you to follow up with your own healthcare providers to ensure your receiving the best care post baby so you can continue on in the months to come with your regular activities with confidence that your body. That is why I have teamed up with the Northern Beaches very own Women’s Health Physio - Claire to ensure all my clients receive the best care when it comes to their health. Claire and myself have some very exciting things coming to the Northern Beaches so stay tuned for more updates! #activecollective #womenshealthphysio #northernbeaches #pilates #pilatesreformer #personaltraining #pregnancy #baby #newmum #wellness #mum #fitmum #corehealth #physio #womenswellness #core
