25.01.2022 Memories! This was when Adam was painting our office in the back room, ready for us to move in to our space. Leo "helped" of course. It popped up on my Snapchat memories today and brought a tear to my eye. We purchased our home over seven years ago. We were meant to have finished renovating it by now and move onto the next one. But life got in the way and things popped up that were out of our control. ... Now though, we've almost finished! And then we're going to put it on the market [so many mixed emotions right now]. Tatnell Painters are here at the moment, restoring our weatherboards and repainting the outside of our home [it's going to look absolutely mint]. And then they're finishing off the painting inside [we'll put up some progress shots soon because the transformation is incredible]. And then we're done! Purpose of this post: just because you had a goal in your mind that's taking you longer to achieve, doesn't mean you still can't achieve it. Keep going. You've got this.

23.01.2022 A lot of businesses view outsourcing as an expensive exercise. Outsourcing is far from this though. It has become a major trend in small businesses. Outsourcing gives you freedom from the tasks you either don't enjoy doing, aren't very good at or you don't have time to complete. This in turn provides you with more time to spend on the direction of your business or focus on what's important to you. For example, you may have more time to grow and market your business and make... more money! Outsourcing is a smart business tool that lots of business owners are embracing. Swipe to see 36 tasks you can start outsourcing today.
22.01.2022 I’m obsessed with cups of tea, honey and reality television. I’m Jessie, and I’m an administration expert and business guru for service-based business owners who want to become the CEO in their business. My job is to take care of your administrative tasks so you can focus on growing your business and increasing your profitability without the added stress of doing everything on your own. I do this through our Time Saver, Money Maker and Position for Growth packages.... But I’m not all business. Here are some random facts about me. I'm 28. Leo is my two-year-old son and is the light of my life. We decided on the name Leo because it’s my star sign and Leo means King which is my surname. It was a nice way to add a touch of my name into the equation. I’m a black thumb - I cannot keep a plant alive for the life of me. I have ME/CFS, which is an invisible illness I'm managing on a day-to-day basis. That’s enough about me though. Now I want to learn more about you. Share a random fact about you in the comments below. See more
21.01.2022 Work-life balance is so important to me. It always has been something I've been extremely passionate about. Maybe because I'm majoring in HR at UTAS, or I need to be because of my health, who knows. Although I don't believe we'll ever find the perfect balance between work and our home life, I think with time and effort we can get pretty darn close. Of a weekend, I now choose not to work [unless I really, really have to]. Instead, I soak up my time, distraction free, wit...h Leo, Adam, my family and my friends. Most Saturday mornings look like this. An untidy home, still hanging out in our pjs, sitting on the couch relaxing and watching Leo play and learn. We obviously do venture outside and do other activities. But Saturday mornings spent relaxing, easing into the weekend, is my all time fave thing to do! What's your favourite thing to do on weekends?
18.01.2022 Hello! Not admin related, but hoping someone might be able to help me out... We're looking for a landscaper who can help us over the next couple of weeks. We're located in New Norfolk and it's for some supply and planting of greenery, helping with the creation of a small path (blue metal and stepping stones) and some other minor bits and pieces. Thank you!... Here's a picture of our home, showing the very blank canvas we have atm. Please call me on 0400 787 721 or send me a DM. Or tag someone below who might be able to help out. Thanks heaps! Jessie
18.01.2022 So, Outlook just updated on my computer and I was trying to find the search bar. I'm talking a good few minutes. In case anyone is looking, it's right at the top now.

09.01.2022 You may have read somewhere that colour coding your calendar is a super productive tool. The answer is, it is if it’s done right. Colour coding your calendar allows you to see what you have planned for the day ahead and enables you to create more balance and organisation in your weeks. Our brains crave and require a healthy variety of tasks and experiences to keep us engaged and content. By visualising your goals for the day, it is a powerful strategy tool for succ...ess. Chakra colour coding is a great way to colour-code your calendar for maximum productivity. Chakra colour coding looks a bit like this: Grey: used to highlight your meetings Red: detail-oriented tasks that deserve your undivided attention Purple: creative tasks that need focus and clear mindedness Yellow: tasks that fuel personal growth [like working on your business or training] Green: personal activities you enjoy or find relaxing or spending time with the people you love [like going out for dinner or meeting with a friend] Dark blue: tasks that need to get done [like personal errands] Orange: self-care time or tasks that fuel creativity and inspire you to explore your passions [yoga, exercising, down time] SAVE this post for later, so you have the colours on hand when you start colour-coding to set your weeks up for success. 09.01.2022 This photo shows what some days in the office look like for Zhoe; hanging out with Leo while I focus on client work. Zhoe is like a magical fairy, working her magic behind the scene, both in the household and in the office on the daily. She keeps on top of inbox overwhelm, stops follow-up tasks from slipping by, completes client work and helps keep me sane on both a professional and personal level. If I'm being honest, I love having this business for a lot of reasons. But one of my faves is being able to provide Zhoe with a permanent role as Personal Assistant and Office Administrator, where she can develop and grow + also work in a flexible working environment. I mean, getting paid to sometimes hang out with your nephew is a pretty good gig.
08.01.2022 Did you miss our most popular freebie [that's no longer a freebie]? This daily planner is a good'en It's live in our Etsy store and has helped *so* many people already. It’s also come in handy a LOT for me as both a business owner and a mum. ... Because it's my birthday today, I'm feeling giving and would love to give away more free copies. Would you like a copy? Comment 'YES' below and we’ll send it to you.
02.01.2022 Everything changed for me last week. I spent the week in hospital because my health had drastically declined. I knew something wasn't quite right, but I just didn't know what was going on. While I was there, I was diagnosed with a heart condition, on top of my ME/CFS diagnosis earlier this year. I was told I need to relieve as much stress from my life as possible, immediately, before I develop even more health problems. Things like diabetes or, worse, a stroke. ... Being a Type A personality and a workaholic, this was the opposite of what I wanted to hear. And I'm devastated - there have been a lot of tears. So, I have to change the way my business runs. I have to work smarter, not harder. I have to pivot to survive, literally. I have to adapt. And I'm okay with this. For now, I'm going to try my best to smell the roses and get myself better. Our current clients have been the absolute best in understanding and we'll continue offering them support. But, we're taking a break from accepting new clients. We're pivoting slightly. We'll still be here on our socials and I'll be giving you guys updates along the way. Thank you for everyone's beautiful messages I've received. It means the world to me.

01.01.2022 You may have noticed a lot of people have been sharing posts about the old 40 hour work week. And how it's so outdated now. Which is totally true. We have so many other things going on in our lives that a 40 hour work week just isn't practical anymore, nor is it necessary. On that note...... We've just opened doors to our Introduction to Systems and Processes in Business Workshop and it's a good'en. After 90 minutes, you'll know how to implement different types of systems in your business to reduce your workload which will save you time and support your business growth. We'll cover topics from what are the different types of systems and processes in business, to the main areas in your business you can implement systems and processes, to how to actually implement systems and processes, to productivity tools and hacks, to workflows and templates, to examples like client onboarding and so much more. The investment? $55 for a 90 minute live workshop and the opportunity to ask questions at the end. You'll also walk away with a workbook so you can start actioning what you learn right away. Limited spots available and this one is proving to be popular already. Hop online and have a look to see if this is for you. https://theadminhatch.com.au//workshop-systems-and-proces/ Hope to see you there!
01.01.2022 This year I've invested a lot into my personal and professional development. I've always been someone who loves learning and growing. So taking courses, talking with professionals and learning so much has been incredible. Some of the things I've done this year: ... Completed The Creative Freedom Method with Rachel Kurzyp which was a 12 week course to help me identify my dream clients and create my signature service. Plus a lot more. Worked closely with Megan Luscombe who has helped me with boundaries, my health and life in general. Been a part of The Digital Picnic's 12 month VIP membership program which I highly recommend. Side note, doors are almost open again for 2021. A 6 week course with The Digital Picnic on Social Media Management (over halfway through it at the moment). Rise with Reels course which is going to help me build the confidence to create reels (completing this now). Continued working towards my Cert IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping. Attended a couple of group sessions with Angela Henderson which have mainly focused on strategy. Joined a mastermind created by Rachel Kurzyp. Purchased 99 short courses through The Bundle Co and completed several of them, which has taught me a lot. Did a photoshoot for our business with Sam Christian and I can't wait for more "on brand" photoshoots in 2021. I want to make this a three monthly thing. Attended summits, free training sessions and some other short courses which have been so valuable. Purchased templates, processes and other ebooks to help my business. And I've been in therapy every three weeks, all of this year, for my mental health. This has been very much because of my new medical conditions I've been diagnosed with this year. And everything that has gone on. Mental health is so important to me and something I'm really passionate about. Next year, I have a plan of the type of skills and knowledge I'd like to learn. And I can't wait! @mama.ran.a.magazine
01.01.2022 Ugh, desk organisation; my biggest procrastinator, yet one of the best ways to increase my productivity. On the days when procrastination is at its peak, I always find myself reorganising my desk. Once it's done though, it's like I can focus again and I fly through my tasks. Some of the key things I focus on is having as little as possible on my desk, grouping similar items together, going digital to save space and keeping a bit of notepaper handy for writing notes. ... Answer honestly, how is your desk looking right now? See more
