16.01.2022 April is Autism Awareness month. This is something that is incredibly close to my heart. Our autism journey has been beautifully complicated. In the last 12 months Sebastian has come so incredibly far. There is so much I want to say but I’m going to try and keep it short. I wanted to share a little win with you guys. Up until around a year ago, maybe less.. we would always have to guess what Sebastian was trying to communicate to us. In one instance, I just guessed/assumed hi...s favourite colour was green because he always chose green things, and gecko was his fave PJ masks character. I’d also guess how he was feeling. I’d guess if he was unwell, or if he had a rough day at childcare. Everything was a guessing game as he could not communicate to me. And this was so hard. But it was our normal. And I was prepared to guess for the rest of our lives. I was prepared to be his voice. Fast forward to today. He can clearly tell me his favourite colour. It is green. (I was right go me). He can tell me if he’s upset, or if he’s not feeling well. All these little things we take for granted - being able to communicate. It is so important. And I am beyond proud of how resilient, strong, smart and hilarious my lil guy is. The only way is up my sweet son. See more

11.01.2022 This is Australia's first ever public education campaign showing the discrimination autistic people face on a daily basis. But that's not the only reason it's i...mportant. More than 200 autistic people and their families helped shape the campaign and its stories. Each of the autistic people featured are played by actors with autism. And every single autistic actor was paid for their time. It might sound like a small thing but for Victorians living with autism, it's a huge step forward.

07.01.2022 https://www.walkforautism.org.au/fundraisers/teamsuperseb We are doing the walk for autism this year. Autism touches my life in so many different ways and I want to show my support and raise awareness. We are team super seb and if you want to get on board just click on the link and join our team (it’s free to join) and if you want to make a donation it’s completely up to you but even just helping raise awareness is just as important! We will also possibly be making shirts if we find the time for team super seb! I’ll post a picture in comments.
