25.01.2022 Wallaby relocation update. Many of you have been asking about this!

24.01.2022 One of the greatest feelings is releasing a native animal back into the world after it's rehabilitation. We all have the ability to show compassion and kindess towards our environment and the species within it. But we also have the ability to take action, speak up and help out when it's in need. Remember to BE that change you want to see in the world. Share this as a reminder to those around you. We must become the voices of the voiceless.

21.01.2022 MAISY THE RED ROO - AN UPDATE As most of you know, Maisy was being driven down south to be reunited with her own kind in Longreach, with one of Australia's best Macropod Carers. We were stopping in at Airlie Beach to help transport another red kangaroo that had a similar story to Maisy (accidentally transported by a Member of Public to an area where red kangaroos aren't from). ...Continue reading

21.01.2022 One of our awesome Representatives, Joel, gave a presentation today to the Northern Beaches Community Walk. We absolutely love getting involved in community events! Very grateful for the opportunity to raise more awareness about TAP, the wallabies and our plight to help them

16.01.2022 A message from one of our Joey Carers... "Getting our wallaby pen ready for the next pair of orphaned joeys. There always will be a 'next pair' unless we can solve the problems of an overcrowded habitat and wallabies foraging along busy roads in the Trinity Beach area. We've done well so far but the job is far from finished..."

15.01.2022 Maisy starts her journey today!

14.01.2022 Great ending to one of today’s wallaby rescues in the city... yes, that’s right, the city! It’s unknown how this wallaby got there but he was found on a roundabout at the corner of Upward and Abbot street. After a massive team effort, he was caught and released in a much safer area. It was great to work alongside FNQ Wildlife Rescue to help this wallaby. Animal groups coming together to achieve the same goal should definitely be the way forward! Thank you to everyone involved.

09.01.2022 When joeys like this come into care, they're on 3 hourly feeds all the way up until they get fur. Yes... even through the night! Our team is very dedicated to giving these creatures their second chance of life. But there's also Volunteers all around Australia doing this! We just wanted to remind all the Carers out there that their efforts are appreciated and valued. Without you guys, so many of our Aussie Icons would've lost their lives. Keep up the amazing work! Did you kn...ow that a joey from this size all the way up to release usually costs around $1000 to raise (if not more)? And that's excluding any vet bills that might come up. If you wanted to help our team of Carers raise these orphans, you can donate here: https://www.theagileproject.com.au/donate/ All the work Wildlife Carers do is 100% voluntary. We don't get any assistance from the government. We solely rely on donations and our fundraising teams.

08.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who came along to our Trivia Night last Saturday! Was epic for our team to meet so many of you and see some familiar faces again. Being in a room of environmentally-conscious people is such an incredible experience. The next scheduled Trivia Night is on the 6th of February in the new year.

06.01.2022 ~ Be the change you want to see in the world~ A very important message indeed. Our team feels very strongly about this. The more we speak up, take action and show compassion towards our environment... the greater and more positive the change will be! Our shirts are available for purchase at our market stalls. Our Volunteers are very proud to wear them and we'd love for you to join us! ... We have two more events this year: 1. Smithfield Shopping Centre Market (Coles end) 5th of Dec 2. Holloways Beach Markets on the 13th of December. We'll also have our 2020 TAP Calendars for sale until they're sold out. We have 50 or so available.

05.01.2022 Comparison photo! Such a big difference between our Agile Wallabies (on the left) to our special Red Kanga (on the right) from down South. Both are equally gorgeous though aren’t they... Want to help our Carers help joeys like this? You can donate here: https://www.theagileproject.com.au/donate/

03.01.2022 Every wildlife rescuer out there sometimes wonders are we even making a difference. And the answer is yes. But we need to be doing more as a community. It’s time to speak up and keep pushing for a movement that betters the future for our environment.

02.01.2022 CONTENT WARNING - (deceased mother and alive joey) One of our incredible Rescuers, who has saved countless lives, took this short video that perfectly shows why it's so important to always check pouches of macropods. Rachel has been the Lead Rescuer at 111 incidents since Oct 2019, where she found 85 dead on site, rescued 17 injured adults and took them to the vet, and rescued 12 Joeys. She's also done field checks 96 times over that time and been part of releasing 3698 wall...abies from the sports fields. Thank you Rachel for everything you've done to help the wallabies and other native species! You are by far, one of our most valuable assets. Rachel is an inspiration to many and proof that you can kick off your heels and save lives even in professional business attire ;) But seriously, we are so honoured to have you part of the team.

01.01.2022 Come see our team and stall at Holloway’s beach markets today!

01.01.2022 We would like to say a massive thank you to the amazing team at Kwik Kopy. They have been so helpful to us over the years and we really appreciate all their support. Ben, Sami and Kaye are so good at what they do, we can’t recommend them enough! Thanks again guys!
