19.01.2022 Here’s a little repair I did for this clear quartz piece that broke in two for no apparent reason...a very wise & connected with crystals soul once told me (funnily enough right after one of my favourite apatite spheres broke...perfect synchronicity ) that our gemstones can break because they’ve absorbed intense energy on behalf of us...meaning that if it hadn’t taken that break we would’ve received that energy in some other (perhaps not very pleasant) way. He explained with... so much love how when this happens we must honour and care for this crystal doubly much in gratitude for the service it’s done for us. I will never forget that conversation with that beautiful soul and so when Kirsty told me what happened with her new necklace it sprung straight to mind. 19.01.2022 Sometimes I paint. I used to paint a lot, now I do very rarely. My beautiful friend @flatnoir purchased this piece from me a few years ago. It was one that I thought was a failure at the time, but now, when she sent it to me today I’m really proud to say I did it. Just goes to show that sometimes the things we think are not my best work are exactly what somebody else thinks is fabulous...I’m pleased that now I can see that too

10.01.2022 I’ve been feeling horrified at the actions perpetrated by our system, here in Australia and abroad. I feel proud and hopeful for all the masses standing up to this injustice. I want to stand with them. I’ve been feeling simultaneously guilty for not being more vocal or taking more deliberate action, and then shameful for not knowing or being able to feel the best way to do something helpful and actually meaningful, not just some token gesture to make me feel like I’ve done my... bit. And then I also feel stupid for thinking that there is something I can say or possibly even do that can have any meaningful impact at all. Who am I to have any wisdom on this subject I know nothing about? I have always felt like I consciously avoid thoughts of racial bias and subscribe to the fact that we are all one. I thought I was not part of the problem. I am not racist but that’s not enough. If I really want to help create a loving and inclusive world I must educate myself and really work to dismantle all these programmed ‘norms’ inside my psyche, recognise all these things I take for granted and be willing to risk my unearned benefits to help fight for another’s because there’s plenty to go around in this new system we’re creating. I literally started by googling how to understand white privilege and I learnt a lot. That’s my first step. It’s that small, that simple. I’ll be the first to admit I’m a complete newby to this. Not because I didn’t care, I thought I cared enough. Because I have been so very sheltered from this for my entire life that I had this illusion that I was doing well in an area that I’d actually never even dipped my toe into. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve realised I know absolutely nothing. By wrapping myself up and enjoying my socially ingrained privileges I close myself off to the troubles others are facing. I have been unintentionally turning a blind eye. Obviously I have a long way to go but now’s the time to change the world, let’s make sure we’re fighting for the side we think we’re on!
