That’s because prior to puberty, they sweat less than adults, which mak...es it harder for them to cool off. To keep them safe this summer: Make sure they stay hydrated by offering water regularly. Instead of water, babies under 6 months should be offered breastmilk or formula more frequently instead Avoid the hottest part of the day usually between 11am to 3pm. Make use of fans and air conditioning. Dress in light, loose-fitting clothing. Wear sunscreen (minimum SPF30+) reapplied regularly, especially when going in the water.
