11.01.2022 The Australian Museum will be holding Autism and Sensory-Friendly Mornings during the upcoming school holidays. The Museum will be opening its doors earlier for our sensory sensitive friends, allowing for a reduced sensory, relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Initiatives like this is what we need to see from all organisations large or small. The Ariel team will be targeting and educating existing businesses during our roll out on how they can make themselves more inclusive. Wa...tch this space! For more information or to book go to the Australian Museum website. #disabilityinclusion

We have set up an online survey that will be open until the 16th August 2020, for you to get involved and have your say. 10.01.2022 For the one in five Australians living with a disability, booking a holiday can be fraught with challenges. Hoping to ease the burden, Lake Macquarie Council has unveiled four state-of-the-art accessible holiday cabins, having considered every detail.

05.01.2022 Spring is here! Do you prefer the warmer or cooler months? . . Personally I prefer the warmer months. I feel like warmer weather has a better overall impact on my mental health. I’m more motivated to be outside, to be social, and the longer days means I do more with my time. For some, the warmer months can have a negative impact on mental health. .... . Mental health is an important concept related to the social and emotional wellbeing of individuals and communities. Facilitating better mental health and wellbeing through social and community engagement is at the forefront of our focus in developing the Ariel App. . . We want to help improve the enjoyment of life of people with a disability, their families, and their Carers by offering more opportunity. . . If you’re struggling with your mental health, never feel like you’re alone. Don’t hesitate to speak to someone you trust if you feel like you need help. You can always reach out to us here at Ariel App as well. For Australian residents you can also contact lifeline on 13 11 14. . . #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #ndis #disabilityawareness #disabilityadvocate #socialinclusion #community See more

03.01.2022 Appreciation Post: we have been a little bit quiet on our social accounts lately while we have been hard at work finalising some key aspects of Ariel App. But we wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported us along the journey so far. We have only just realised that we have almost hit the 20% mark of our fundraising goals through our ReadyGoFund Page! We cannot express how much your support means to us. All funds raised go directly to developing Ariel App an...d related processes, such as creating paid employment opportunities for people with a disability. To everyone who has donated so far, you are amazing and we appreciate you more than you know. If you are interested in donating, the fundraiser will be continuing through until December. Click the link below for more details.

03.01.2022 Amazing feedback from two of our attendees yesterday. It was such an amazing day, thanks to everyone that came along and a big thanks to those who helped make it happen! We made a call out to our local disability community and they delivered with incredible feedback. This data is now going to make our app benefit so many more people.

03.01.2022 We are proud to be linking with Surfing the Spectrum again to help them to continue to run their amazing surf therapy events. If your child would get a kick out of a great day out getting some surf and sun, go to their page for further info and to book your place in their free event.

01.01.2022 Just a bit of goodness for your Friday morning!

01.01.2022 We are an organisation working tirelessly to improve the Australian Disability Sector. We believe everyone should be able to access their community, jobs and services and our app is going to help them do it. After much research and collaboration with our local disability community, we have an amazing prototype. But now we need the funds to bring it to life. We have started a ReadyFundGo where we are trying to raise enough funds to get this initiative off the ground and we need your help. If you’d like to donate anything, big or small, hit the link below. https://readyfundgo.com/project/the-ariel-app/
