06.01.2022 Hi team. Business as unusual here. A little project in the works that we hope you will get on board with. We have designed a take home art pack for you to either use for yourself, your family, or gift to a much, much loved one. BUT ....this is no ordinary art pack. ... @together.apart.project is the art project that keeps on giving, for participants of all ages. Your pack will include: blank watercolour postcards to create artworks on and written messages to loved ones. one postcard to send back to @theartdept.co, to be hung in our studio’s ‘isolation’ exhibition. We will constantly document this collaboration as it grows water colour art materials, postage stamps, guides and other inspo AND 1 in 5 packs purchased will be donated to local mental health services (*just finalizing details on this one - service tbc) We will facilitate a @together.apART.project community, where we will track your postcards, repost your process and documentation of the joy you’re spreading locally and beyond. We will also keep you updated with the growing exhibition as it unfolds. Our packs will available to purchase in a week’s time and loyal customers with credits can use them for these too. Following the project’s account for now would be so appreciated. On a personal note, I move from anxiety, depression, resignation to optimism...pretty much on a 24hr cycle. It’s hard to know where to start, and who to help. But the thought of an isolated grandparent, stressed out single mother, teenager with a disability (the list is endless...) receiving a lovingly made postcard in the mail makes me smile. 01.01.2022 We had two really special events coming up soon. @leahmoorephoto local living legend was having her first exhibition ‘Daze’. She has her amazing postcard sets for sale in her shop on first ave, sawtell (check my stories). I’ll be buying up. My favourite photograph of the series is pictured above. And @andyschestmnc was also planning for @lukehowardmusic amd the Bellingen Youth Orchestra to play in our space. Both of these events will be amazing when they do happen. We thank everyone for their support .
