21.01.2022 It has been a big week and looking like many more to come. Some pictures from behind the scene

20.01.2022 Coffs Coast Art Prize 2020 opened last night with many vying for entry into the Covid Safe exhibition space. With only 36 bodies and a 10 minute viewing allowe...d at any given time we were grateful for a very patient audience. We did I believe/hope satisfy most needs in the end and even had some return for more after their first 10 minute preview. We are delighted to congratulate the winners and highly commended for their acheivements but above all we thank all 110 artists who made this exhibition become a reality. Due to the overwhelming response it was impossible to install all 160+ artworks in the space at Coffs Central. We have therefore taken advantage of the exhibition spaces in the Art Factory at Orlando street. The Installation of these works will not be complete until Wednesday 23rd. We apologise to those who may be disappointed by this outcome. Do yourself a favour and take the time to attend this show. There is something there for everyone. Much more than the 10 minutes on openining night would allow. More to come.....

10.01.2022 The next BIG group show is just around the corner. LOCAL FACES is a diverse exhibition of portraits by local artists, featuring local people from the mid-north-...coast of NSW. Perfect timing while you’re checking out the National Archibald Prize at Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery, why not see what the locals are doing too! Hoping for an actual Opening this time! Launching on Friday the 5th of February from 6pm, and showing for four weeks til Friday the 5th of March. The artist line-up is still being fine-tuned, but it’s bloody exciting how diverse and eclectic the art will be, and the local faces you’ll see portrayed at Alykat Gallery @ambercarbury (artwork featured on promo) @cjthekid @andthetreesphotography @johnthiering @cillamint_art_studio @megvicary_artist @a_frostart @bitefoodtours @flairbears @meganlouisebucks @carmeldebreuil @oliviasteelstudio @crystaltateillustrations @photography_format @trishtaitart @sherilynhawley @picture_a_pet @studio8835lesley_hughesartist_ @sulks78 @rexamus666 @feliceferrer @lanagcreative @leahdoddart @leahmoorephonehome @envogueweddingphotography @flossy.p @gabriellebrabander @alykatcreative

03.01.2022 Early this year, we asked #ArchibaldPrize head packer Brett Cuthbertson and exhibition manager Katy Preston for their top tips to artists in the final weeks of ...entry. Since then, some things have changed. Some things remain the same. Here’s a handy round-up of points to keep in mind when planning to deliver an artwork for the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes and a couple in case you’ve only just started your painting! For more information on the Prizes and the delivery process during COVID, and to submit your entry form, head to our website: https://bit.ly/3hGxAr7
