I would like to engage with all of you a little more, and encourage you to go out there and paint, whether you have time to come to the class or not. So, let’s talk more about art and help you along the way. Each week we’ll talk about different aspects of watercolour painting, whether it’s technique, materials or articles and famous artists.... I also encourage you to post images and artists you like as well as your work!

18.01.2022 Dear Friends, Thank you so much for all your votes on the best night to teach. I am extremely happy to announce we will be doing our one hour lessons on Thursday nights 1930-2030 for our skills class. Requests are also welcome! We will kick off in the week of 24 Aug 20!... I am also happy to announce I will be collaborating with ANU to design and run art course for Semester 3 and 4. Semester 3 will include a short, 4 week course of Australian fauna and flora. Semester 4 will include an 8 week course! Link will be advertised soon!
17.01.2022 Friends, Let’s talk about watercolour techniques. In my classes, I talk a lot about watercolour application. The most common techniques include:... - wet-on-wet painting: applying paint with a moist paintbrush to a wet surface. This makes the paints react with each other and blend - Wet on dry: applying paint with a wet brush to a dry surface. Used to create different types of strokes but doesn’t blend - Dry brushing: often used at the completion of a painting to by applying paint on a dry brush to a dry surface until the paint on the brush runs out. The combination of different techniques will give you the tools to create a diverse painting with depth and detail. See more
