12.01.2022 Loving being back at Art School with my wonderful new assistant and my super cool crew of young creatives. Art studios are such great environments for experimentation, learning, friendship and fun.

11.01.2022 We hope everyone is having a great summer holiday. If you are in planning mode Term one dates are 23 Feb - 13 April. Well be working on drawing with a focus on using tone to create three dimensions and then moving into colour blending using coloured pencils. Looking forward to seeing returning students again as well as meeting and supporting new young creatives.

06.01.2022 A few sweet photos from today’s illustration workshop. Building up to creating our own character and putting it in a narrative with an appropriated character from a story book - we’ve done observational drawing from nature, thumbnail designs inventing our own character by anthropomorphising our nature drawings, added landscapes/backgrounds, worked in graphite colours pencil and water colour and and had some fun tracing using the new light box in the art studio. A grande morning!

05.01.2022 Art Show weekend - we put a lovely classroom excercise in tone and form into this years Macdonald Colleges Annual Art and Design Exhibition. Our drawings held the wall really well and looked fantastic. Well done everyone.

04.01.2022 A popular drawing project - that we had loads of fun with - using big rhythmic arm motions to music to create the highly decorated sheets of paper that turned into the texture for the fur or feathers. Pastel irises and inky pupils. Great work!!!
