Lightness and ...Darkness is what the human eyes sees firsteven before color. The shape or area to be colored has to be the right value in the composition. If you want that area to stand out, (high contrast) or remain subtle (low contrast) then choose the right value first, then select any color that is close to that value. Classes are relaxed, supportive and social, located in a large purpose-built studio on 10 acres in Cedar Creek All materials are provided. Each workshop is themed with the art of a famous artist. We explore their inspiration and practice and then make art influenced by them. Thursday October 1 : Surrealism I have run this workshop several times and surrealism is the perfect inspiration for kids. The themes of dreams and strange imagery make for great starting points.
