24.01.2022 Theatre 3triple2 is proud to present our final cast member for "Cosi"........ LEE FOYSTER is a founding member of Theatre 3triple2, and was last seen on stage AND backstage in the 2019 12x12 Playwriting Competition. Lee is well known for her dedication to literacy in children, a love of story telling, and has been performing roles of all genres since the inception of Theatre 3triple2. Lee will be playing the role of "Justine," everyones most disappointing social worker, opt...imistic yet ignorant. Justine is keen for creative therapy for her patients, but how much of the building will burn down before the end of her tenure?! Please call 5251 1998 to book tickets or follow the link! https://www.geelongaustralia.com.au///8d773f4a899353f.aspx

22.01.2022 "WINTER SOLSTICE" UPDATE - Theatre 3triple2 are disappointed to announce that the 2020 "Winter Solstice One Act Plays" has been postponed til 2021. While we did have the inkling this would happen, it is still very disappointing to all involved. Be sure to keep June of 2021 free to come along and see "Oldie Locks" written by Jack Price, and "Demons & Drag" written by Jennifer Brown. All those who have bought tickets will be contacted by the Potato Shed in due course, please bear with us as we work through the logistics, thank you.

22.01.2022 Russell - will surely rustle a few feathers as he portrays a couple of characters in Cosi - Justin and Zac - the cast hope the only prunes he embraces are the electric ones !

22.01.2022 Ubaldino has worked with many theatre groups around the World - and with Theatre 3triple2 in a number of ways over the past few years. In CoSi he plays the hot role of Doug, rumour has it - he can be heard convincing his cat -"it is just theatre" cOsi at the Potato Shed 27th 28th 29th of March - tickets https://tickets.geelongaustralia.com.au/event/cosi-o

21.01.2022 We are only 1 month away from curtain up on "Cosi" and the cast and crew have been working tirelessly to bring this classic Louis Nowra play to life! I (Jen) was lucky enough to have a peek at Act One last night, and to take a few sneaky shots of the actors in their element. Directed by Rob McLeod Starring Ryan Tracey, Barry Eeles, Ali Cruickshank, Cait Reynolds, Ubaldino Mantelli, Ian Campbell, Joy Launikonis Lynne Sutton and Sam Lawrence One weekend only at the Potato She...d, Drysdale, book your tickets now to make sure you get the best seats possible. There will be drama, comedy, love and war, and possibly a few singed cats.... "Cosi" offers a touching reminder of how art can make our spirits soar. Call the Potato Shed on 5251 1998, or follow the link below! https://www.geelongaustralia.com.au///8d7734aff2f86f3.aspx

20.01.2022 Hello again to our patrons, members and supporters! Theatre 3triple2 are still here! We have been doing our best to keep meeting as a committee and discussing our options for the 12x12 Playwriting Competition 2020! Since 2012, on the 12th day of the 12th month, we have performed 12 original plays by local writers, 12 minutes long apiece at The Potato Shed. There is a winner crowned on the night by the audience for Most Popular Play, as well as a Judges Choice as selected... by an industry insider. In the past we have had comedy, drama, noir, science fiction, romance, monologues, duos, ensembles. If they can write it, we have staged it! We have opened up to submissions from local writers over the past month, in the hopes that we may be able to perform to a smaller audience over multiple nights, host a series of outdoor readings, stream online, via radio, or SOMETHING. We are so happy to say we have received some WONDERFUL submissions, and this is a call out to ask our supporters to keep writing and to keep sending in submissions. Even if we covid persists, and our plans of staging/streaming/radio may not be possible in 2020, we will be back with a vengeance for the 12x12 2021, and we would love the opportunity to present these plays then. So please contact us at [email protected] to submit your original 12 minute play! Any theme, any style, let your imagination run free! Over the next few months we will monitor the situation with covid, and our committee will work towards getting some kind of a 12x12 show up and running. The show must go on! Isnt that what they say?! 16.01.2022 WINTER SOLSTICE 2020 - DIRECTOR WANTED Theatre3triple2 are looking for a Director for this years Winter Solstice One Act Plays! "Goldie Locks" is written by Jack Price, and is a classic family comedy. When Bob Locks memory begins to fail, his wife Rose is at a loss as to what to do. Their daughter Jane is keen to help, but it seems she has enough problems within her own marriage to David to worry about. Together the family face the latest challenge of Bobs dementia, a tend...ency to go wandering..... Full of dad jokes and mischief, this one act play has been a joy for the committee of Theatre 3triple2 to read, and we are now looking for just the right person to bring it to the stage! We are looking for someone who is organised, committed, has excellent communication skills and has some level of experience in acting or directing. Directors will be expected to hold auditions/info night for actors, select a cast, schedule rehearsals, plan sets and costumes, plan lighting and sound, participate in promotional material (eg. Take photos, do interviews, social media etc) and be present for tech/dress rehearsal, as well as bump in/bump out. There will support from our committee for the director of Oldie Locks, which can be discussed further with applicants. The Winter Solstice One Act Plays is also producing Demons & Drag, written and directed by Jennifer Brown. The two directors will ideally host the information night and auditions together, and then each play will rehearse separately up until production week (aside from promotional purposes.) We are aiming to begin auditions on March 31st, so if you are keen to direct please get in touch! IMPORTANT INFO/DATES Production dates June 19th 8pm, June 20th 2pm & 8pm Bump in/out, and tech/dress rehearsal to be determined, but most likely 17th and 18th June. To express your interest or to ask any questions, please email us on [email protected]

16.01.2022 Hello to all of our valued members and patrons! We at Theatre 3triple2 are still here, working away in the background, and trying to deal with this horrid situation as best we can. Each time we have been ready to launch something exciting, covid takes another twist or turn that throws a spanner in the works. But we wont stop trying! Every year on the 12th day of the 12th month, we perform 12 original plays by local writers, 12 minutes long apiece. While 2020 may be a year u...nlike any other, we are pushing forward in seeking submissions from local writers in the hopes that we may be able to perform to a smaller audience over multiple nights, host a series of outdoor readings, stream online, via radio, or SOMETHING. We know many of our members have been busy writing the last few months, and we want to see what has been created! So please contact us at [email protected] to submit your original 12 minute play. Any theme, any style, let your imagination run free! Over the next few months we will monitor the situation with covid, and our committee will work towards getting some kind of a 12x12 show up and running. The show must go on! See more

15.01.2022 COSI & WINTER SOLSTICE UPDATE It is with much disappointment that Theatre 3triple2 are announcing, our upcoming productions of "Cosi" and "Winter Solstice One Act Plays" have been postponed. Our committee believes this is in the best interests of our audiences, as well as our actors and production crew, based on the ever changing daily information regarding coronavirus. We are now planning to stage "Cosi" over the weekend of June 19th-21st, and "Winter Solstice One Act Plays"... will be rescheduled at a later date. We thank everyone for their concern and patience with Theatre 3triple2 as well as the hardworking staff at The Potato Shed. Those who have already purchased tickets to either productions will be contacted by the Pot Shed with information regarding rescheduling/refunds over the coming weeks. We are saddened that we have had to make these tough decisions when we have all worked so hard on these scripts, sets and productions, but the show must go on! (Just at a later date....) We hope to see your smiling faces in our audience when we do get on stage. Please contact the Potato Shed or [email protected] if you have any questions (please be patient as we work through this logistical nightmare!)

05.01.2022 WINTER SOLSTICE 2020! Theatre 3triple2 are proud to announce the two plays selected to be performed at this years Winter Solstice! "Oldie Locks" Written by Jack Price... "Demons and Drag" Written by Jennifer Brown At Theatre 3triple2, Jack was last seen treading the boards in the 2018 Winter Solstice as the dastardly artiste in "What Became Of The Hooded Plovers?" Jennifer was last seen directing "Pinocchio" in January this year. Jack has written a marvelous comedy of errors, that will hopefully make audiences smile and laugh out loud! Jennifer has written a drama that aims to make you laugh through a few tears, and plenty of glitter. We congratulate both writers on their selections, as the field of entrants was of an incredibly high calibre. We had nine plays submitted, and it came down to only a few points between the top plays, and plenty of robust discussion before a decision was made by the Theatre 3triple2 committee. We thank every writer who worked so hard and took the leap of faith to submit, each play was truly a joy to read aloud, and we hope to read more of your works in the future (*hint hint* 12x12s will be coming up before we know it!) Please stay tuned for production crew and audition information over the coming weeks and months, and please consider booking your tickets early to secure the best seats in the house! 04.01.2022 12x12s 2020 - The 12x12 Playwriting Competition has been running every year since 2012, and while covid has decimated our economy, our arts calendars, and our ability to leave our homes freely....it hasnt stopped us here at Theatre 3triple2! While we know things are still unpredictable, we as a committee believe the show must go on! So, that means we are asking local writers to get started on this years 12x12 plays. You know the drill, 12 original plays, under 12 minutes l...ong, performed on the 12th night of the 12th month. Any theme, any concept, youre limited only by your imagination... In the past we have had noir, crime, drama, romance, comedy, scifi and dystopian thrillers. Its amazing what you can do in under 12 minutes! All plays submitted will be read by the committee, and through a voting process the top 12 will be chosen to be performed. Theatre 3triple2 can then take the reigns and find a director and actors, or the writer is welcome to cast and direct their own script. At this time we are asking writers to get started on writing their scripts, and we will be advertising when we are ready for submissions. This covid crisis has been the most difficult time many of us have lived through, without our friends and families, without incomes or our creative community, many of us are struggling. But this is one creative endeavor that can be started alone, and hopefully a little piece of escape, or perhaps a cathartic exercise. Plus, we are all stuck at home for the time being, what else is there to do?! Stay tuned for more submissions details..... See more

01.01.2022 "COSI" UPDATE - Theatre 3triple2 had been ever the optimists, and hoped we could stage our wonderful production of "Cosi" in June 2020. Sadly, the Rona was not so easily managed and we have come to the decision to postpone until 2021. This has been a major blow, as we were only 2 weeks out from opening night when lock down began, and we have spent a lot of time, money and effort on "Cosi" and been unable to share it with our audiences (YET!) We are currently working with th...e Potato Shed to finalise these new dates for 2021, so please bear with us as we sort all of this out. We thank everyone who had bought tickets to this production, and we promise the show will be worth the wait! Special mention also must go to the director, cast, and crew, whose patience and dedication has made a very difficult situation a little bit easier to handle. Stay tuned for more updates......
