25.01.2022 Sarah Greenwood’s Malvolio and Lucy Ross’ Maria were both delivered with a presence which drew the attention every time they were on stageShakespeare was way ahead of us in subverting the idea of gender as something permanently fixed. He his work is littered with twins, gender fluidity and love in its many forms..We left the theatre feeling that so much more coulda, woulda, shoulda happened Kate Stratford
24.01.2022 "The evening starts with him at the piano and ends with the guests on stage on a couch together, watching each other's 'last' trick of the night. Galea and his guests are having fun and entertaining us, not trying to impress us. As a result, they impress us even more." - Lynden Jones 4 stars
23.01.2022 Three Shows having their first performance in Sydney this week: New Theatre Neighbourhood Watch Previews Tuesday... "This glorious comedy about hope, death and pets, takes on a sense of enormity in the midst of the ordinary, questioning whether we really know whats out there in the burbs." The old 505 Theatre TrainLord First Performance: Wednesday "Performed to music by Thomas Gray & Liam Ebbs, Seekae and Nils Frahm, amongst others, and to visuals by Kat Chellos, it is a story of hope, laughter, pain, relationships, drugs, failed orgies, mothers, fathers and love." Belvoir Theatre A Room Of Ones Own Previews Thursday "Virginia Woolfs 1929 classic description of the need for new spaces and a complete redefinition of who owns our story making is by turns wise, amusing, incendiary and poetic. Rippling with passion, one of the finest pieces of writing in the last hundred years, with the distinct talents of Anita Hegh walking Woolfs tightrope of thought and feeling." https://www.onthetown.net.au/the-curtain-rises-this-week/

12.01.2022 After 20 years with the STC we felt it was time to produce the show ourselves and take it to a wider audience says Drew Forsythe. The 20 years have been very rewarding and we are hugely grateful for their support over the years. Especially to Robyn and also to Rob Brookman who instigated the show and encouraged us through the early years.
12.01.2022 Wonnangatta will be performed under the current one person per four square metre social distancing requirement in force in NSW. This will greatly reduce the number of seats we have for sale. For this reason, the season as programmed in the Drama Theatre, Sydney Opera House has been cancelled; and the show will instead be performed at Roslyn Packer Theatre from 21 Sep 31 Oct. In order to comply with current government social distancing requirements, the capacity of the aud...itorium has been reduced from 880 seats per night to an audience of 147. This means that STC are unable to accommodate all current ticket holders. They will will aim to accommodate as many ticket holders as possible, noting that many people may not yet wish to venture back to the theatre by September. Everyone who booked tickets to Wonnangatta will be provided with an automatic credit voucher. Those current ticket holders who wish to attend the performances will then be invited to book into the Roslyn Packer Theatre season on a priority basis, starting with Legend Season Ticket Holders. Those who are not ready to come back to the theatre will be offered the opportunity to retain the credit voucher, receive a refund or donate the value of the ticket back to the company. More detailed information will be provided to the person who made the booking shortly please await STCs direct communication. Follow the link for more details

10.01.2022 It was a pleasure to see every one of the available limited seats taken. So many small companies, without the kudos and support that big name companies attract, have gone to the wall. Time to pay them all back for the years of joy they have brought us and get out there and see some theatre.
