05.01.2022 Gatto masks also known as Gnaga mostly used as decoration at carnival but also a mask of transgression and dissidents. Very much like the Anonymous mask today. You could say and behave in often obscene or anti social ways, you can say what you like to passers by as no one in a mask can be arrested, because the mask is speaking not the wearer. The aloof and feline nature of the cat is taken on by the wearer.
04.01.2022 in three weeks we start the first workshops to bring our first full production to the stage. a mix of Venetian Commedia Dell'Arte, french Commedia and theatre of cruelty technique it promises to be interesting stuff. spectacular new masks and costumes are being created for the Illawarra's first dedicated mask Troupe we will keep you posted
