20.01.2022 Tonight was supposed to be our first preview of TIDELINE by Wajdi Mouawad @Old 505 Theatre. Instead, we are self-isolating... And what better way to do so than by listening to Wajdi's diary of self-isolation from Paris? Ok, it's in French but hey! there's so much Netflix one can watch in a day... 19.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE by Old 505 Theatre, where our production Tideline is scheduled to open next week. The safety of our audience and employees is Old 505 Theatre’s greatest priority. We are actively monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and will act on any updated advice from the Australian Government Department of Health. We are also following closely updates from Live Performance Australia (LPA), the peak body for the live performance industry. You would have heard a...bout the cancellation of large gatherings of 500 people or more, as mandated by the Australian government last week. Old 505 Theatre is a small theatre of 65 capacity, in a closed to public building. We do not have large numbers of people coming through our doors or attending our performances and our current operational model is low risk. To date we have not received any advice that would cause us to alter our performance schedule, and we look forward to welcoming you to the theatre soon. Old 505 Theatre has taken the following precautionary measures: Increased the frequency and detail of cleaning the building by professional cleaners Front of house team are sterilising all high touch areas multiple times per shift (incl door handles, toilet locks, hand rails, switches and buttons) Hand sanitiser available for all patrons and staff If you have travelled to or had contact with someone returning from a high-risk area, please follow advice from the Australian Government, particularly regarding isolation protocol. If you are unwell, the recommendation is you stay at home.

17.01.2022 Dear everyone, our production of TIDELINE was supposed to open next week @ Old 505 Theatre. The theatre has decided to stay open but we have chosen to cancel our production anyway. As producers and artists, we feel we have a role to play to ensure our cast, crew and audience stay safe. The government has not taken any further action to protect us, so we feel we have to do it ourselves. Was it a hard decision to make? No, it was the only one to make. Will we lose money? Hell yeah! But 4 of us have survived a war in Lebanon or in Syria. We know what resilience means. And we will be back, people, we will be back... Photo: Mansoor Noor Photography

This amazing space has always supported edgy, unique, unusual shows, including ours, GOYA and FRIDA KAHLO, as well as the best show we've seen in years: TRADE by Hurrah Hurrah.
