24.01.2022 Like so many others, the Real Estate Institute of Victoria [REIV] has pivoted, with the annual senior auction comp taking place online tomorrow! While they might not be real auctions, we strongly believe that participating in auction comps helps make us better at the real thing. We’ve been keeping our skills sharp through the COVID off-season and are looking forward to competing tomorrow. Wish us luck!

05.01.2022 The further relaxing of COVID restrictions by the Premier yesterday is more welcome relief as we head towards the end of the year. The major change is that a 50/20 rule now applies to all auctions. This means a maximum of 50 people outdoors, or 20 people indoors, plus the agency and auction team. Face mask regulations have also been loosened with no masks required outdoors, as long as the social distancing rules are adhered to. And this is the key we must continue to adhere... to the rules or risk fines, or even worse, another lockdown. Don’t forget: - COVID protocols are to be followed which include hand sanitiser onsite and registration of all attending parties with record of their details for contact tracing purposes. - Online, phone and on-site auctions can now be amalgamated to provide options to your vendors, buyers and your teams to ensure anyone who wishes to participate, can do so.
