03.01.2022 We are pleased to share that Adam Glowacki from Sutherland Shire Squadron completed his First Solo in our Piper Warrior (VH-LRA) this past week. This is his first milestone on the way to his Recreational Pilots License. With COVID-19 impacting operations for several months, it is good to be able to share this achievement with the community and hope many more from Adam and the rest of our students are not far away. #ausairleague #aal #pilotlife

02.01.2022 Good morning everyone. With the issuing of the Australian Air League Federal Standing Order (FSO) 02/2020 yesterday which comes into affect at 0001 hrs on Monday 23rd March, all flight training and events like Squadron Flying Days are suspended until further notice. Flight training this coming weekend (21st/22nd March) will proceed where possible with increase hygiene and separation requirements as posted at the Air Activities Centre. The Air Activities Centre will be close...d from Monday 23rd March while the FSO is in affect and we will be contacting all of our students to ensure that this information has been passed onto them. Bookings will remain in the system as they are right now and we will still manage requests for lessons for May and onwards, but flight training will not proceed until such time as the Australian Air League rescinds or updates the FSO to allow flight training to resume. We very much understand that this will impact all of our students and encourage them to keep up their studies towards exams and practice procedures at home as much as possible so when we are back flying, they can jump back in and continue progressing. It may be a good time to contact other students you may know to do virtual study groups or other activities to keep skills sharp. We will provide updates as we go if anything changes. If you are interested, please read the information about eligibility, and if you met the criteria, apply today. There is an interview process as part of the application assessment which is scheduled for Sun 8th March at the NSW Air Activities Centre, Camden Airport.
