One thing weve learned from isolation is we cant live without the fun, love, and laughter that comes from connecting with community, family, and friends. The Backyard at Briars Sports is certainly a celebration of connection. We have missed you all so much and are so happy to be welcoming you back and serving you once again!

07.01.2022 The Backyard is a registered Covid-Safe business. With the NSW government rules and regulations surrounding Covid-19, those in the Hospitality Industry need to be more vigilant than ever. We are constantly updating the measures we have in place to ensure a healthy and Covid-Safe environment for our customers, team, and the wider community. At The Backyard we will now only take reservations of 10 people or less, and all bookings must sign in properly on entry to the venue. Wh...ile these restrictions are in place, the Playgreen will be closed. We are overseeing social distancing, constantly cleaning and ensuring hygiene in the venue. We need your help in will ensuring that tables remain seated whilst eating and drinking in the venue, in following the Covid-safe practices in place and in helping children to do the same. 05.01.2022 Howdy all, Wed like to address the elephant in the room today. With the current situation surrounding Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak we wanted to touch base and discuss our plans as a business over the coming days and weeks. The health and safety of you, our team, customers and community is our priority. We are all collectively responsible to stop the spread of COVID-19 amongst our community.... At this time in Australia, the last thing we want to do is add to the panic. We have our own opinions on what the government should do, just like everyone else, but that is not something we can control. The panic, fear, stress and anxiety levels are high now due to the uncertainty were facing. Firstly, we would like to assure our customers that extra measures have already been implemented almost two weeks ago - this included extra hand washing measures on top of the already strict guidelines we have to follow as a food business. Rigorous spraying and sanitising the restaurant and play areas. We are continuing to increase the hygiene efforts throughout the business and are taking the following steps. - We have purchased / ordered additional sanitizers, disinfectant sprays, hand sanitizer and masks should we need them. - As always wash hands regularly and wear gloves, avoid touching your face, cough into your elbow. - Regularly disinfect customer facing areas including Point of sale, Eftpos, cash and till with Glen 20 and paper towel - Please no re-useable coffee cups - Conduct staff training on all of above initiatives Here, wed like to encourage everyone to use PayWave where they can. If you feel unwell, please follow the Department of Healths advice on self isolation. We will continue to monitor the unfolding situation and keep everyone updated if there are any other changes. Also, we are also preparing for Plan B and are looking into offering free delivery of meals within 5km of the Backyard at Briars. Perhaps this might help to serve elderly parents and families in our community. If youre interested in a delivery service from us, please let us know below. Wed like to see if this is a viable option for our small business. We urge you to continue to support other small businesses in the area as much as you can - as we know many of you will. If there is anything we can do to help you and your family during this time please ask. We will do whatever we can. We can source food and some sanitary products through our suppliers. We are all in this together.
