RSPCA Victoria is offering its popular animal first aid course, Focused First Aid for Pets free of charge to community members based in bushfire affected or prone areas. Focused First Aid for Pets is a 1 hour 30-minute webinar that teaches participants how to prepare their pets for evacuation in the event of an emergency such as a bushfire and how to care for animals with burns and heat exhaustion.... The course also covers CPR, bandaging, injuries sustained by cars, how to monitor a pet’s vital signs and react appropriately along with the importance of pet first aid kits and how to improvise with common household items.
