23.01.2022 So what is the next installment for The Bao Bar? This is it! Come down this Saturday (the 18th of July) for our "Grand Opening" (not really that grand at all) at our new pop-up venue in Victoria Park! We will be here every Saturday for the next month and a bit. So come down and have a feed! (there are a limited number of baos so better come quick!) Every week we will serve three different kinds of baos but we will rotate them every so often so everyone can enjoy something new the next week. What else...? Oh yeah no bookings required and its also BYO!

22.01.2022 We would like to thank everyone who has supported the 6 stack bao degustation, but like everything all good things must come to an end, However, Beginning this Saturday the 18th of July we start a weekly pop-up dining from 6:30pm onwards, We will only be open once a week on Saturdays, taking walk-ins, with a limited number of Baos... 10.01.2022 Here is a photo of The Bao Bars very first customer. This photo is very important to us, the reason we started this whole thing was because we believed that good food should be available to everyone and not just those who can afford it. Were not going to lie Sunday was a challenge with plenty of stuff ups before the event (power outages) which caused more stuff ups during the event (long ass waits). Wed like to think that we dont have our heads so far up our asses that we... cant take criticism (as long as its constructive) and admit that we still have a lot of room to grow and evolve. And thats our promise to you, to continue on this journey until both us and you, the customer are satisfied. And when we get there "its all good baby baby" (free bao to anyone who knows where that line is from). Lastly we would like to thank everyone came down on Sunday who gave us a chance and tried our food and especially to those who waited for it. 08.01.2022 After several weeks of running our #sixstack event it has finally come to an end (we thought this day would never come hahaha). All jokes aside its time to get a little bit serious. "The Six Stack Project" (as we have named it) was something that took a lot of work (A LOT OF WORK) with a small but dedicated team that worked diligently week in and week out. When coming up with the concept of a "bao degustation" the idea seemed silly to many and certainly to us at first. The ...thoughts of "who would want to sit down and eat six baos all night long?" and "who would pay for this crap?". At times it also seemed there were more risks than benefits associated with the project. Although it gave us an open canvas allowing us to experiment, showcase our food, express our ideas, and most importantly share our vision it also put us up for the risk of failure. If we couldnt execute and meet the standards and expectations of everyone it could have essentially spelled the end of us. However this was not the case. To every customer that walked through the door and shared the experience with us thank you, you guys are seriously awesome for taking this journey with us. You guys have given us something more important than money in our pockets (not going to lie but that was great for the late night Maccas feeds after a night of working at The Bao Bar). Not only did you guys give us a chance to live our dream and to do what we want to do but you provided something very important to us. Feedback and constructive crticism. This was something we have always encouraged at the end of every service (although sometimes it was a hard pill to swallow). This knowledge is invaluable to us as it will allow us to grow and evolve into something that we can be truly proud of one day. To everyone who was involved in this process from the venue, to the staff, to my friends, to the people who dropped things off me because I forgot to bring it (every single time) you have my eternal thanks and gratitude. We put in the hard work and the long hours simply because of one reason, we love this shit (excuse the langauge) and we want to create something that everyone can be proud of! So what will be next? That will be revealed very soon! P.S Thanks to everyone for hashtaging and posting photos. Weve used some in this nice little collage but we cant remember who posted what. But thanks for letting us steal them!

02.01.2022 You might be wondering why our baos arent bleach white or why they arent completly smooth? Well, as human beings we arent pefect so why should our baos be? We pride ourselves on serving hand crafted baos made my our very own #baomaster and not by some machine in a factory. Like people, our baos come in all different shapes and sizes, some are big, some are small (dont worry portion size is still the same despite the look of it) and some are just plain fucking ugly. But just like people its not whats on the outside that counts its whats on the inside.
