19.01.2022 ANNOUNCING THE BARN CLOSURE We are a little sad to announce that The Barn will be closing at the end of April 2018. The building is being re-purposed and will be turned into a home....which will be beautiful! Worth Gallery has been managing The Barn, Studio, Gallery and Classes for close to four and a half years. In this time, together with several artists we have hosted a large number of classes, workshops and exhibitions.... The Barn has been a studio base for over 20 artist on a long term basis. Approximately six artists have held temporary artist residencies at The Barn, which all included a Worth Gallery exhibition. We have enjoyed a number of music shows, open days, art birthday parties, hens craft days, mediation classes, cafe events and a myriad of other artistic events. The Barn has been and always will be a very special place to many people tracing back to the early 1970s when it started as the art room for Marbury School. Creativity oozes from its beautiful stone walls and encourages all who spend time there to express themselves. It has been the commitment and focus of all involved that has made it what it has become today. We would like to thank you all, tenants, teachers, visitors, children and all who have enjoyed and shared this venture. 16.01.2022 We have three oil painting courses with celebrated Adelaide based painter Melanie Brown in our Term 2 Short Course program! Join her in the Intro to Oil Painti...ng on Saturday afternoons, Oil Painting level 2 on Tuesday mornings or the Techniques of the Old Masters course on Wednesday afternoons. Learn the basics of how to paint with oils, develop on your previous skills and explore historical materials and painting techniques.
