25.01.2022 Bored in lockdown and need a new hobby? Have you tried the "art" of drawing stick figure arms on birds? This little oyster catcher looks like he's enjoying a run along Primrose Sands beach.... Original photos in comments if you'd like to give it a try. We'd love to see what you come up with
24.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day to all the mums, step mums, not yet mums, women struggling to become mums, mums in heaven and dads doing both roles. I found this beautiful rock a few months ago while rock hopping between Stewarts Bay and Port Arthur (approx 45 mins from The Beach Escape) and I immediately thought of my beautiful mum. Stay safe and sane this Mothers Day x
24.01.2022 UPDATE Rupert has now been found (6km away!). If you have been to Primrose you probably spotted Rupert The Goat living beside the river near the bridge. He's gone missing so please keep an eye out for him.
24.01.2022 This beach is waiting for you to MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME... Get ready to claim your travel vouchers on the 7th September (up to $550 worth). You claim back the cost of your stay (Sunday to Thursday) after you have completed your stay (you pay upfront and claim back through the scheme). If you are thinking of staying at The Beach Escape I suggest you book early to avoid missing out - you don't need to wait for the vouchers to become available. If you need to cancel you can at no...t cost. This is a great way to have a break, hit the beach and visit places like Port Arthur. Book with us at https://www.thebeachescape.com.au/bookings-availability/ More details of the scheme can be found at https://buysomethingtasmanian.com.au/tourism/voucher/
23.01.2022 Sick of seeing your own four walls? Ready for an escape? Were about to open up our calendar for future bookings, including the July school holidays. Well be offering a July special of $150 per night all inclusive for up to 5 guests (min 2 night stay) for our Facebook followers who book directly through our website.... If youd like to reserve any dates before we open up the calendar please get in touch.
23.01.2022 Apparently most of the Make Yourself At Home vouchers from the first round haven't been used yet. If you have a voucher and are looking for accommodation options before 30 November, we have highlighted our eligible nights below. (We had trouble finding accommodation ourselves as everything is either booked out or exceeds our budget!). Stay near the beach, then use your experience vouchers to take a trip to Port Arthur, or take a cruise to spot whales or visit UnZoo.... Check availability / book at: https://www.thebeachescape.com.au/bookings-availability/

16.01.2022 Did you know that petrol is consistently 10-15c cheaper per litre in Primrose, Lewisham and towards the Tasman Peninsula than it is in Hobart? If you're out and about this weekend supporting small towns and businesses, dont forget to fill up while you're out.
15.01.2022 And after 18 months a decent Aurora hits and we have a big hill blocking our view from our iso backyard..... However it would be a great view from The Beach Escape...
15.01.2022 The whale sightings around Tasmania at the moment are simply incredible! If you're staying with us we highly recommend the Tasman Island Pennicott cruise which departs just 45 minutes from The Beach Escape.
14.01.2022 If you're in Primrose next weekend, you might like to check out the Halloween event at the RSL. They usually have a courtesy bus to pick you up and drop you home on Friday and Saturday nights too. https://fb.me/e/3GNny73qe
14.01.2022 You may have seen pictures of night time Bioluminescence in water where when disturbed (by waves or people) the water sparkles bright blue. Check out the first photo we took at Gypsy Bay, about 1 min drive from The Beach Escape. But what does it look like at day? It looks like pink slime (second photo), and today there was bio at Gypsy Bay. So if the tide is right there might be blue sparkly water at Gypsy Bay tonight!
13.01.2022 Another gorgeous Sunday in Hobart and since it is the first Sunday of the month the classic cars come out at lower Sandy Bay. Amazing what cars are around Hobart.

05.01.2022 Like many locals, we took the opportunity to explore our beautiful State and support the local economy. We headed up to Cradle Mountain, and managed to score an absolute cracker of a day to explore the area and hit the tracks (a balmy sunny 6 degrees and shorts and tee-shirt weather)! Hiking with our kids for over 4 hours, we saw waterfalls, lakes looking like mirrors, plenty of ice and frozen ponds, wombats, and of course the iconic boat shed beside Dove lake. So if you are local, take the opportunity to get out and explore this wonderful State and support the community - and enjoy the noticeable lack of traffic on the highways.
03.01.2022 Aaaahh the serenity of the waves and birds Happy Fri-yay!
03.01.2022 Spectra beam Beach Escape style
03.01.2022 A bit of beach art inspiration
02.01.2022 You never know what you will see when visiting The Beach Escape!
01.01.2022 We can't wait to eat here!
01.01.2022 Because there hasn't been enough photos of the super moon from the last few nights we thought we'd better add our own.... This was done by taking 100 photos and then combing the best ones by stacking them on top of each other to enhance the detail in resulting image (since we don't have a telescope to zoom in nice and close to the moon).
