19.01.2022 The Bean Bug is back at one of our favourite spots... the Vintage Cafeteria Car at the National Railway Museum, Lipson Street in Port Adelaide. Well be here for the next 4 days for their Family Fun Fair event.... coffees of course, and cakes, iced coffee, milkshakes, toasties... and a few surprises. Museum Members and volunteers, and other verndors get a discount on most items.... proof (such as your membership card) may be required. We look forward to seeing you!

Nothing too serious (just a virus) but its upsetting as Ive not had to cancel an event since I started the business two years ago.. We look forward to the next races the following week...

15.01.2022 So we did it... Just. Today was Day of The Volkswagen at Civic Park in Modbury, our 3rd time attending and raising funds for the Club. I wanted to raise $500 this year.. and we have succeeded, just, by raising $519.30! Again Id like to thank those who donated... as without it that figure would be much lower!... Di Bella Coffee @dibellaadelaide for contributing the beans... B.-d. Farm Paris Creek @BDFarmParisCreek Dairies for the milk... and Lounders Boatshed Cafe... my Day Job for coffee cups... and a day off... It was a bit windy at times (umbrella had to come down) but a very successful day for us as the weather predicted (50km/hr winds.. and rain in the morning.) contributed to numbers being down compared to previous years... and I even got time for lunch from the Club bbq and a coffee for me... 06.01.2022 Right, so whomever contacted Facebook about changing my phone number I think, funnily enough, that I know what MY OWN phone number is.... You know, what I changed it to months ago (long story...) I am NOT going to list my phone number as the one I no longer use! Like the person who suggested my address was on North Terrace (THAT was hard to change back...) or just now suggested I change from $ to pounds.... seriously, people, a bit of common sense???

04.01.2022 We are glad to say that Im back at work after being ill... ...however still feeling a bit bummed as well not be at todays transferred race meeting at the Gawler Racecourse today due to other committments. Weather is looking great so we hope everyone has a fantastic day... wed have really loved to be there but the change in day (while we aggree and think it was a wise decicion with the weather yesterday) was just too short notice for us and I was already booked somewhere... else.... 04.01.2022 We are open and ready to go.. weather looking good too... Coffees, toasties, hot pies.... milkshakes... soft drinks/juice hiding in the not so vintage fridge... come to the museum (I had time for a quick wander this morning myself... I forget that its not just the Caf Car thats awesome sometimes...) and get a coffee or bite to eat from us too! Open until approximately 4pm... if the door is still open and youre after something come and ask we might just still be able to s...erve you if the machine is still on... Also... thankyou to our customers and especially the volunteers for your kind words over the few days we have been trading so far... I love being here but without the support of customers, and volunteers/staff here at the museum we wouldnt be here... We will be back tomorrow but not quite so early... from approximately 12.30-1pm only as I have an errand to run in the morning... please note that tomorrow we will have toasties (yay!)...but no pies/sausage rolls (sad) etc due to the reduced time we will be open. On a different note.. one day Im going to remember to Google Amgoorie tea...
