24.01.2022 2020 Bega Show Community Event CANCELLED Advice received this afternoon from the Local Emergency Control Centre indicates the Showground will be likely to be used as an emergency centre as long as the fire situation remains unpredictable. It is likely we will not have access to the ground for any event in the near future. The ongoing fires also mean large numbers of the community are either busily engaged in support roles or unable to safely leave their properties to enj...oy an event like the previously planned community event 15th & 16th February. It is hoped that funds promised to the Bega Show committee to help us provide a whole of community event will also become available and a better time will emerge for us as a community to gather, reflect, give thanks and relax and celebrate the good things that have come out of our losses. The Show committee have deep regret that we will not be able to offer an opportunity for our valley to gather, to represent some normality, a sense that life goes on. Although we had cancelled the 3 day show we were determined to carry on. Now we have to concede defeat. It is with some relief we see that the NRL trial game end of February is being followed by a concert. Although no replacement for our beloved show it will be a great start. 13.01.2022 Exciting news today - Stock Horse Challenge Sunday 16th Feb 2020 12.00 pm 1st prize 50 small bales of prime lucerne hay (value $1000) sponsored by the Kimber family , Dromore Station, Chakola. Thanks to the young ladies who have put their hands up to help organize the obstacles. Jo Collins, Mary Grainger, Cass McDonald, Sophie Parbery and others. Please contact these ladies for details. 13.01.2022 After considerable thought the Bega Show Society has decided not to hold any horse events at the Bega Show Community Event to be held on the 15th and 16th Febru...ary. After receiving veterinary advice it was considered that exercising horses leading up to the show would pose an unnecessary health risk to horses. The Show Society looks forward to conducting a horse event once there is no health risk. .

08.01.2022 Ellie Grant will represent the Bega Show Society at the Zone 3 Showgirl Competition in Crookwell on Saturday 29th February 2020. Ellie has had a strong involvement at the Bega show over many years with her interest in showjumping. She has been involved with jumping with the Bega Jump club, the Bega cup event each year and all the local shows.Her other interests are the the family farm, music, water skiing and touch football. This year she will be starting a nursing/ midwife course. We wish all the best at the Zone finals.

01.01.2022 Sorry, we have had to delete our post and event regarding Brad Cox coming to the 2020 Bega Show. His managers have extented his tour thru USA. Our committee is most disappointed. We will try again, maybe our 2020 Sapphire Spring Eventus (17th -18th Oct) we have been discussing. If anyone has a suggestion who we should have at the 2020 Bega show, we welcome your input. There... are now 5 categories for fermented foods (Kimchi, Sauerkraut, Cultured Dairy, Fermented Vegetables and Fermented Fruits), plus 5 categories for fermented drinks (Kombucha, Jun, Water Kefir, Milk Kefir & Other Fermented Drinks).
