12.01.2022 The historical origins of the Paloma remain in most part a mystery. Many believe that it's homage to "La Paloma" ("The Dove"), a popular Spanish folk song from the 1860's. Diffords Guide credits the late, great Don Javier Delgado Corona with its creation. Some have challenged this, but there is no disputing Don Javier made the Paloma legendary at his bar, La Capilla, in Tequila, Mexico. Sweet, sour, a little bitter and salty; it hits all four groups. Add alcohol... what's not to like?

11.01.2022 Situated on a picturesque farm in southern Tasmania, Grandvewe Cheeses were looking for a way to utilise the usually discarded sheep whey from the cheese-making process. From this innovative idea, micro distillery, Hartshorn was born and are now producing award-winning boutique batches of Vodka and Gin. Hartshorn's Sheep Whey Gin is best savoured on the rocks, or with a dash of soda or quality tonic. It has a delicately sweet bouquet and extremely smooth finish. Definitely one of our favourites!
