17.01.2022 ADVENTURE TO THE ROCK The sun was shining today! it was the perfect day for Class 2 & 3 who participated in Outdoor Education. 17.01.2022 A special moment this morning. A teacher leads Miss M (name changed to protect privacy) into my office this morning, tears running silently down her face. Too... upset to tell me what was wrong she just wanted a hug. Frankie came and sat in front of us - glancing at Miss M and then me. I nodded to acknowledge him and he jumped up on me (his paws reach up around my neck) and turned his head to gently lick the tears from Miss M’s face. As he stood doing this and nuzzling her face the tears stopped, her arms went around him and she buried her face in his coat. He jumped down and they sat together, a smile beginning on Miss M’s face as Frankie tried to playfully extract the tissue from her hand! Young people that have experienced significant trauma often feel sad and unsafe. They have no words. There are no words. Frankie has an uncanny sense of when and how to provide comfort in an authentic, meaningful way. He is truly amazing. So much love for this boy
