14.01.2022 Ok. Where to start? Let’s start with some numbers...92 registered Big Roasts and 450 people were part of The Rob Dolan Wines Big Roast for CF yesterday Yes you read that right. Absolutely astounding!!!!! It was an extraordinary day. We were all cooking up a storm in our kitchens, while feeling quite connected to ALL the Big Roasters doing exactly the same thing. Social media kept us together as we shared pics of our roasts, our wine, and our beautifully set tables. We al...l shared watching videos of the guest speakers, with an online running commentary as though we were all in the room together. The online auction was just as fiesty as ever, and the raffle prizes were extraordinary as always. What a day!!!! I’m still recovering. Thank you Rob & Jude, and Tayla and the whole Rob Dolan Wines team for making it happen!! Thank you to every supporter yesterday who hosted a roast, attended a roast, donated to a roast, or provided one of the AMAZING raffle or auction items. How extraordinary you all are. 09.01.2022 Well. What a weekend it has been for The Big Roast for CF!! We had 2 Big Roasts happening across 2 states and our first international Big Roast in Texas!! The extraordinary Jacqui Clark roasted up a storm in Queensland and even though the table was set for two, the feast, the funds raised, and the joy of the night was still Big!! The ever committed Leonie Green with Tim & Eleanor, who have supported our event with their own roast EVERY YEAR, didn’t let lockdown stop their ing...enious ‘Christmas in July Big Roast’!! It was complete with contactless goodie bags dropped off to guests, and a zoom roast with all the trimmings, absolutely extraordinary with equally extraordinary funds AND awareness raised for CF research. And finally, amidst the chaos in Texas, an awesome Big Roast was hosted by the gorgeous Sally Magee with John. Despite already donating so generously to 2 Big Roast campaigns, they decided to host their own as well. How lucky and grateful we are to have their international support as we have had every year. A massive THANK YOU to all of our hosts this weekend, your time, effort, and love for our campaign means more to us than we can adequately articulate. Never mind having 2 young children and a brand new baby, sheer exhaustion didn’t get in the way of extraordinary Sam Kelly cooking up a sensational roast last night to raise money and awareness for CF research.
