22.01.2022 We have it on good authority that the Simpson Desert is as pretty as it gets right now! Make no mistake about it - Mother Nature has played her hand perfectly f...or anyone who's lucky enough to be able to make a trip into the Simpson this year. Late summer rain meant the wildflowers had a chance to bloom without the hot summer days burning the green shoots to a crisp, and boy oh boy is the result a belter. 16.01.2022 ...and then we added a pop of colour and some rustic charm This gate was recently found buried beneath many decades of sand. We're told on good authority tha...t it has been hand riveted and the hinges are hand forged. We're excited to be able to incorporate a piece of the area's history which had been lost to the wind and sand for much of the past century. Our cafe is an eclectic mix of everything - nothing really matches and we love it just like that. See more

15.01.2022 Unique opportunity for Golf enthusiasts! On Monday 3 August well known Golf Coach Professional Darren Weatherall will play the newly developed Birdsville Dunes... Golf Course just west of the town. Follow him around and pick up some tips. Hoping to start between 3 and 3.30pm depending on the arrival of the flight from Brisbane. Once the round of 9 holes is completed he will hold a short clinic on the basics of golf and the short game to the sand ‘green’ starting around 5pm (with consideration for those who work) Darren is also involved with The Outback Qld Masters. Join in for a fabulous afternoon, BYO Water and sun protection and wear walking shoes! As always please be aware of social distancing!
