18.01.2022 Who here has had to convince their partner into coming to @hypnobirthingaustralia classes My husband was NOT keen on attending a two day birth course but he knew how important it was to me. And the baby was coming out of me of course, so I win! The reality is, your partner need to be the brain during the birth. Mums need to be relaxed, comfortable and undisturbed in order for their birth to progress. To do this, they need to trust that partners know their shit and ...will be able to advocate for them. This is what our class gives partners the skills to do! I would say 90% of the dads that come into classes with me are like this at first...but by the end they are so excited and feel so much more confident about the whole process! #repost @kardashiankkx When you man say no but you know you can make him say YES #hypnobirthing #hypnobirthingaustralia #positivebirth #birthplan #activebirth

08.01.2022 HOMEBIRTH #repost @emma.jane.patrick The absolute highlight of my parenting journey so far. My only wish is that this birth option was more accessible in this country. ... Being empowered in my birth choices has always been important to me. Through my first pregnancy I started reading all the books. We chose private hospital birth back then and by the time I was due I was armed to the teeth with knowledge to advocate for myself. While my hospital birth with Indy was fine I still experienced push back from my OB, was told to push too early by a midwife I’d never met and screamed at my doctor not to cut me in the final harrowing stages, on my back on a bed in a well lit and highly charged room. After a beautiful water labour somehow my hospital birth became a very stressful experince, Indy released all his meconium in the birth canal and he spent the first couple days in NICU. I finally got my healthy baby back and left the hospital tender, nervous and unsure how the journey ahead would go. My trauma was minimal and my journey ahead was great. Sadly, in this country we tend to measure the success of our birth experiences on a scale of trauma rather than a scale of ecstasy My hospital birth felt like battle My homebirth felt like dancing I share these images of my homebirth to show what birth can look like. For low risk pregnancies #homebirth can be the most glorious experience, I promise you. It’s not for everyone, but if it’s something you’ve considered please look further in to the services available to you. I can’t wait to share more about my homebirth experience, which I will. I just had to get this comparison off my chest first. Mainly because there is a little shred of regret within that I didn’t choose homebirth from the beginning. But it wasn’t meant to be and I am so grateful for the experience of both. I want to acknowledge I also had a hospitalised #TFMR stillbirth with our daughter Ava. Her birth was beautiful, honoured and heartbreaking. Her story I’ve shared before and will continue to, my precious angel baby girl #birthstory #calmbirth #waterbirth #pregnancy #birth #parenting #motherhood #spiritualmidwifery #h

08.01.2022 Why THIS course? Some of my clients do other courses either within the same pregnancy or in a previous one. I’ve also done a hospital antenatal course so I KNOW how much more in depth the @hypnobirthingaustralia course is. Some of the differences:... - We learn to rewire our brains and look at birth in a totally different, positive way. - We give you SO MANY tools to help keep you calm. Like seriously, a lot which means that you can pick and choose what works for you...or have a bunch of back up tools in your birth toolkit to use if needed. - We unlock the instinct and confidence that is already within you so that you can make decisions for yourself and your baby. - It’s fun ....AND SO MUCH MORE!! Im now taking bookings for 2021. February is almost booked out but there are still spots for the January group course. Start the year fresh with a positive mindset and get excited to meet your baby!!
