25.01.2022 Shrek munching on his breakfast He is having a no rug day, to soak up the sun before the cold days start
25.01.2022 Hello riders, At this stage riding is still going ahead. Until stricter lockdown laws are put in place and the stages we are in get higher graded. Currently we are in stage 1 out of 12 stages. Only time will tell during these hard health times our country and world are going through. On Sunday I thought I was to stop operating monday, I have made some calles yesterday to be advised at this stage to keep operating until further notice by the government regarding the states ...lockdowns. RIDER RULES! Riders are to wash there hands before touching and riding the horses. No kissing or hugging the horses. Riders to please wait at there cars, do not touch anything such as gates and taps. Do not come up and into the stables foe the safety of me and the other agistment residents. Cough into your shirt or elbow. Thank you Whitney

16.01.2022 Hello riders, Due to the current situation Australia and the rest of the world are currently in due to the COVID-19 VIRUS. It brings me to informing everyone tonight that The Black Horse Riding Stables is closed from 6:30pm Friday the 26th of March 2020 until further notice. For the greater good of our community and the rest of Australia. ... The clear message from government is "Stay home" if you can. To avoid the prospect of our hospital systems being overwhelmed, with queuing for ventilators to save precious lives, we all need to play our part in reducing the spread of this insidious virus. This means no more riding. The likelihood of catching and spreading the virus is low but the consequences are high. In the meantime, please do the right thing, protect yourselves and your family. Thank you from Whitney and the Horses.

04.01.2022 Dear friends and supporters I regret to advise you that Coronavirus has claimed our beloved Annual orange Show. The decision was one of the most painful decisio...ns ever taken by the Society. The Show impacts on thousands of locals and visitors as well as retailers, exhibitors, presenters, entertainers and judges from all over. The cancellation also has significant ramifications for our regional economy given visitors will now not be utilising accommodation venues and restaurants and buying goods in local shops. The future of the 2020 Show was foremost in the minds of our committee over the past few weeks and we held our breath waiting for some improved news about Coronavirus. Each day, sadly, the news got worse. The Prime Minister and COAG jointly advised, It has been recommended to us that we move to a position, by Monday 16 March, where we will be advising against organised, non-essential gatherings of 500 people or greater. That announcement resulted in a raft of entertainment and sporting events being cancelled across the country as well as conferences, meetings. The Sydney Royal Easter Show was an early casualty. We’d hoped the Show would be a special occasion for our farmers and graziers to celebrate the recent good rains after years of dreadful drought. The cancellation is particularly disappointing in that regards However, the health and safety of our patrons, exhibitors and volunteers is paramount and the final decision was indeed the right one to take. The Orange show committee will commence work on its 2021 Show 1st-2nd May 2021 Program at its next meeting. Kind regards Orange show society’s President Mr Peter Naylor
