08.01.2022 * image for attention only * Calling for submissions for the the Times 2020 finale issue We are gearing up to put together the final issue of the Blackwood Times for 2020.... What a year it has been! This issue we'd love to know how you survived 2020 - the highs & the lows. The joys & the struggles. We'd particularly like to hear how our young ones managed. We want to celebrate our community heroes - those Blackwoodians who do quite deeds around the town be that clearing weeds, picking up litter, restoring town assets. We don't need names but we'd love to hear about these endeavours. We'd also like to hear from our businesses - how have you had to change your businesses during the restrictions & how has it impacted your trade? We know that not every one like writing but what about a photo or 2 halloween, the cup, bush walks (hint: our readers love old photos - please caption them as best as you can - of ask our readers for their input) do you have old letters you could transcribe & send in? a poem a work of art? an event or gig that is happening in December or January - Carols, film nights, entertainment The Blackwood Times is your paper, it is your connection to the community & we need you! Everybody has a story to tell and the Blackwood Times team would love to print yours! For many residents and visitors, the Times is the only way to find out what's going on in Blackwood and surrounds. But for it to come together each issue, we need your contributions. It can be an update on a local issue or event, an observation, a letter to the editor, photos, anything that you would like to share. 06.01.2022 The December January issue of the Times is off at the printer. We won the Best Photograph for one of our covers. Guess which one?... Hint it was published this year. Answer is on page 15 of the new issue but, to find out, you'll have to wait til Friday when the issue is distributed.

03.01.2022 I’m keeping an eye on who our next councillor will be... it’s looking close! Last year around 2500 people voted. We had 3457 enrolled voters & Lawry got just over 50% of the votes.
