23.01.2022 Happy new year to all the wonderful friends of The Blind Pug Orange - we hope NYE was as good as it could be and that everyone’s recovered. On Wednesday 13th January there is a team from Amazon Prime coming to film a story on what we do here at the Blind Pig in Orange. This IS the place where everyone is welcome, no matter what you think or drink, and they especially wish to show the LGBTQI+ community the best place in town ! Hopefully shooting can be put back to around 5pm (...fingers crossed) so it’s after most people’s work time - and anyone who can make it will get drinks at staff price (25% off) and free nibbles. Our favourite DJ, Daze, will be here with some music and we basically want to show them what a normal (hahaha) night looks like here at the Pig. Hopefully we can get a large enough group down here, but Kevin and I would especially love if any of our LGBTQI+ regulars could possibly make it.... maybe I should turn up in drag !... (shock horror !) I will confirm the time as soon as possible, and they are also filming at the Oxford in Bathurst where my good friend Andy Wheeler (also a retired Firefighter) runs the LGBTQI fun there. 01.01.2022 With recent changes (LONG overdue) to Liquor Laws, kids are ow allowed in venues that have a "Small Bar License" - which is what we have at The Blind Pig. We are making our "taco Thursday" nights, and Weekend Lunchtimes, into "Kids welcome with Parents". Of a night the law is they cannot stay past 10 pm - although I will be asking that children are taken home around when our full kitchen closes, which is 9pm. So as from tonight..... parents can bring the kids down to the Blin...d Pig for our delicious Tacos, sticky wings, delicious ribs, THE best Nachos around, and a FREE soft drink for the kids.
