06.01.2022 Learning never gets old! I started making preserved flower arrangements whilst in ISO and working full time. I love my day job and wouldn't change it for the world, but felt something was missing especially since being in ISO. During COVID the extra time spent at home gave an over thinker like me more time to think. Thinking about the future, thinking about home schooling our children, thinking about family we couldn't see that lived beyond 5kms, thinking how, although I wa...s grateful to have my job, the uncertainty of the economy put a cloud over everything. I was looking for ways to interrupt the ISO thoughts and learning something new was something I always enjoyed and so blushingbloomsbyv was started. The best part of this was the reconnection with my family. My girls and my husband being my number one supporters and helping me with many things from courier driving, social media, creating logos and cleaning up after me! I spend my evenings and weekends in the workshop (garage) now creating these beautiful arrangements and I wouldn't have it any other way. My mental health has never been better! There is no time to ponder the future, instead, I'm meeting lovely new people, chatting on social media about colours and seeing my creations adding something new and unique for people to talk and think about in their homes. It feels like I'm doing yoga for my brain when I put focus my time on creating. Its never too late to learn. Find your way and don't overthink it. It will happen See more
