04.01.2022 The Blue Belle Huskisson and the holidays collection have heeded all warnings and encouraged the safety of our guests by refunding all monies and we at The Belle encourage everyone to just leave. This is your life, it cannot be replaced. We left weeks ago, and won’t be back until this is over. Your house? It can be replaced. Your things? Again, they can be replaced. Your attachment to them is not worth your life. That can never be replaced. Leave if you can meet these things.... And if you can’t? Our house is open to the locals that need to take refuge tomorrow if the fire gets too close. If you also have a house there that is open to locals and their pets seeking refuge tomorrow please post here so I can send them screen shots or you can before communications go down. We you all and value the tremendous difficulty with leaving but please just leave wishing everyone there safety xxxx See more

01.01.2022 With a reported 120 cases in Nowra and South Nowra the police presence has increased as they drive through streets past parks and areas people may be gathering. We have heard of properties being reported, people in the streets being questioned and cars being stopped near the large light boards on the highway reminding people not to travel. It’s very sad as the ships here are all closed bar a couple, and resources are low. It’s awful that this area had barely recovered from t...he fires this summer (and all my love and thoughts are still with those communities further south that suffered even more) and now we endure this. Businesses could close for good, holiday accomodation agencies have paused and cancelled all bookings saving themselves huge fines and communities even more illness and disaster. Whilst it’s something we hate to say, but we need to to support our Mayor, Government and health advice. Do not travel these holidays. We will see you when this is all over. And you will see the blue belle is blacked out till September. To protect this community, the children, elderly and those in between and to ensure life can return to normal soon stay safe everyone xx See more
