19.01.2022 Restrictions relaxed! Effective immediately, we are back to 1 person per 2 square metres which puts us back up to 14 allowed in the front bar. Patrons must still be seated. To assist with catering and staffing, we urge everone to book well in advance if intending to to dine, even if for a front bar countermeal.

16.01.2022 It's nearly that time of the year again. AFL Footy tipping competition The Blyth Hotel will be running a footy tipping competition for season 2020. Pit your knowledge (or lucky guesswork) of AFL footy against everyone else’s and see who comes out on top.... Cost of entry is $50.00 payable 1 week before the first match of the home and away season. Prize money for 1st 2nd and 3rd (if enough entries) to be announced when final number of entries are known. If there are enough entries, there will also be a weekly prize for picking the winner in a selected match by the closest margin. If nobody picks the winner, it will jackpot to the next week. There will be 3 hidden rounds. See bar staff for entry. Basic rules will apply. 1 point for a correct tip. 0 points for an incorrect tip 0 points for a drawn game unless tipped. Tips must be submitted prior to advertised start time of first game of the round. Tipsters who fail to submit tips will be allocated the score of the lowest tipper for the round.

16.01.2022 Stage 3 rules are in and look what else is back in. Bar stools! Patron limits have been lifted, but social distancing is still required. To assist with dining room set up, bookings are essential! Hope to see you all soon.

11.01.2022 We hope everyone had a great xmas. Now new years is fast approaching and the Blyth Hotel is taking bookings for New Years Eve dinner. To kick things along there will be some drink specials on the night. Jugs of Pimms and lemonade or dry for only $40.00 or a glass of Yellowglen sparkling for just $6.00 (bottle for $22.00) There will also be a new beer on tap. Great Northern pints $5.00 all night. See you there to bring in the new year!

09.01.2022 Only 1 week to go before the start of AFL season for anyone still wanting to enter the tipping comp. Get in now before it's too late!

07.01.2022 We will obviously be closed for all meal and in bar sales for at least the next 6 days. We will however open from 4pm to 6pm on normal trade days for takeaway bottle shop sales. Darren and Lee

06.01.2022 Due to it being Lee's birthday today, we are opening late and Lee is getting the day off (No meal service) so she can have a few drinks. Why not pop in and wish her a happy birthday and have a celebratory drink with her. Opening approx. 5.30 - 6pm.

06.01.2022 OK footy tipsters. The home and away season is over and the comp has been run and won. Let me tell you, it was a very close finish. The mystery rounds will be revealed and the winner will be announced next Sunday 8th Sep starting at 2pm in the front bar of the Blyth Hotel. See you there!
