21.01.2022 Some awesome shots by Danie from Keira’s CMV Journey More shots to come.

17.01.2022 Does anyone have any contacts in the tyre industry? We have a long term beneficiary family with 4 disabled kids doing the best they can on a carer's pension but after a string of costly mechanical issues, they now are faced with needing to replace all 4 tyres on their 2006 AWD Ford Territory. It is just unsafe for them to drive the kids anywhere at the moment, so we'd like to see what we can do to get them back on the road. It currently has 255/55/18's but will take advice on the best tyres for their car. Just looking for a generous tyre supplier who is prepared to help a family out with the best deal possible. Please contact us if you can help.

17.01.2022 The Charity has been offered 10 tickets to the NRL Women's State of Origin game at Kawana Stadium this Friday night at 6.45pm. If there are any families out there that would like to experience this hard-hitting game and cheer on our Queensland girls, let me know and we can arrange them. You don't need to take them all but it will have to be first in - best dressed basis. Message us if you are keen. Thanks so much to Sunshine Coast Council for thinking of us.

16.01.2022 Hey all, Bev has just balanced the takings from our charity surf event and it looks like we have raised around $25,000 including the Rotary bbq and our coffee van girls. That is a great effort and I am so proud of our little charity and how well we have all performed. Doing back-to-back events was very ambitious but damn we pulled it off and the charity is now $117,000 better off then we were 2 weeks ago. ... Thank you all so much for your incredible support and generosity, we can now help so many more families with disabled kids.

12.01.2022 Great pics from Wetfoot Photography of our event

12.01.2022 Meet one of our new beneficiaries, Hunter. This lively young 10-year old has ASD level 2, ADHD, Epilepsy and Sleep Impairment but is generally a happy little bloke. His health of late has not been good and he requires some urgent surgery before Christmas. Hunter is in the permanent care of his grandparents who simply can't afford all the costs so we have jumped in to help out. The procedure is now locked in for December 17th and his ENT specialist believes it will free up his... breathing and improve his health enormously. Hope it all goes well Hunter and congrats to Mariliese and David for being such great grandparents. See more

11.01.2022 Feeling amazingly proud to be a nominee for Community Group of the Year in the recent QLD Regional Achievement & Community Awards. It was uplifting to know that our little Sunny Coast charity was seen as worthy amongst so many other successful organisations, all doing such great work across the state. The awards ceremony was all done online and whilst we did not win the major award, it was humbling to be included and recognised. Thanks to all the sponsors for supporting Queensland charities.

08.01.2022 It was an absolute honour to attend the Alexandra Headland Rotary Club this morning and receive a cheque for $5000 as a beneficiary of their recent Surf Show & Shine Event. The club is a great supporter of The Board Meeting and we look forward to working hand in hand with them in 2021 to continue to improve our community and help kids with disabilities. Thanks to everyone involves, you guys are awesome.

06.01.2022 Over the past few months our good friend and long time supporter, Jack McCoy has been working on a special eco piece to support many different causes. I’m stoked and excited to announce that after months of work he is ready to launch SURFERS FOR CLIMATE. Jack created a music video for Paul McCartney which I believe is his finest work of art yet and Paul has donated it back to SFC to help raise funds. If you would like to support the cause they are asking for a donation of a ...minimum of $5 that will go to Surfrider Foundation Australia and The Seed, Australia’s first indigenous youth-led climate network. You'll get access to watch the new music video donated by Paul McCartney as well as check out a range of videos from some of the world wide causes that are working with is to take climate action as an alliance. Jack would really appreciate your support but feel free to share and help pound the tribal drum on your social media so we can all work together to make a difference. 03.01.2022 At last week's Surf Event presentation we were fortunate to have a visit from the lovely Sue McKenna-Holley from Debra, the organisation that supports adults and kids with RDEB. Debra told us about the horribly debilitating disease and how our purchase of the Nano Bubbler for baby Lachlin was helping so much with his care. Lachlan's parents could not join us as their care regime is 24/7 but sent this message of thanks to all our supporters. "It is with great regret that Jess... and I can’t be here today. Lachlan is still very little and due to his severe RDEB, his care requirements are relentless, exhausting and limit our family movements significantly. On behalf of my family, I’d like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to The Board Meeting Surf Charity for your support of Lachlan and our family. With your help in collaboration with DEBRA Australia, we now have the Nanobubbler bath which is used every second day for Lachlan’s skin regime and wound care requirements. We have been using it for the past month and can already notice the difference with the healing time of his wounds. Your support has enhanced the quality of care we provide to Lachlan which overall improves his quality of life. Thank you for understanding our situation and we can’t thank you enough for your support. Andrew & Jess"

03.01.2022 Board Meeting Charity supporter and all-round good bloke Peter Gilson has been having some health issues lately and looks like heading back for another heart op real soon. Pretty scary stuff for sure, so I thought we should all cheer him up by posting a pic of your favourite wave. I hope it all works out well Pete, take care mate, here's my fav wave, DI of course.
