19.01.2022 HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS TRAINING This is a program our coach, Steph wishes she had access to when she was in high school. When she finally had someone show her how to use all of the equipment properly and make sure she had the right technique, going to the gym made her feel strong and confident. Two things which we feel as though a lot of teenage girls struggle with nowadays with constant pressure from social media and peers. ... This program is perfect for girls who: Want to build confidence and improve their body image. Are looking to improve their fitness and strength for other sports. Want to get more active but haven’t really found a sport they like. Want to reduce stress and anxiety especially around exam times. Want to start going to the gym but are a bit intimidated or don’t know where to start. The sessions are at The Body Shapers on Flora Street in Kirrawee on Tuesdays at 4.30pm and Thursdays at 3.45pm. The sessions go for 45 minutes. The girls are welcome to come to just one or both sessions and will get a great benefit either way. 06.01.2022 Had a great time sitting down to chat with my good friend Dane Hopper from The Agency about how we’ve got through the lockdowns at The Body Shapers. Dane wants to give the local area an insight into what businesses went through with the lockdown and how they adapted, so he's doing an interview series with a bunch of businesses around the shire. I talked about what we did at Body Shapers to help our members, as well as sharing some tips on the right way to get back to your fit...ness routine. Other highlights include Dane and I showing why we took home the 16A’s soccer premiership for the trees, and our awkward COVID elbow bump. 02.01.2022 Raw and honest story of a 44kg transformation Have you ever hit a ‘rock bottom’ point with your fitness and health? Where you decide ‘enough is enough’?... Bad habits have been hanging around too long. Putting off facing the truth of where you’ve got to. That was one of our members Jiordy just over 2 years ago. A doctors checkup showed her she was just shy of 100kg’s, at just 20 years old, and she knew she had to change. But she didn’t know what to do with her diet, let alone if she could stick to it. She was asthmatic which made exercise even harder. But she was determined to make this happen, no matter what it took. 2 1/2 years on she’s dropped 44kg’s of fat, 4 dress sizes, and finally feels confident in herself. I find her story so inspirational that I asked Jiordy to sit down and share the key lessons from it to inspire you.
