25.01.2022 WE ARE HIRING! We have two full time positions available - barista / cafe all rounder and a chef/cook. Experience is essential but we will provide additional training and mentoring as required. If you have these skills, as well as a seriously positive can do, no drama attitude and a proven capacity to work as part of a team then we’d love to hear from you! Please send an email to Tamsin [email protected] outlining your skills and what you feel you can bring to the business. Both positions for an immediate start. We’re excited for the future of our business and our little town - let’s do it

22.01.2022 WE ARE LOOKING FOR FABULOUS STAFF! The Borough Dept. Store is seeking a fantastic chef / cook to become an integral part of our team as we grow. If you love cooking, have an understanding and appreciation of beautiful ingredients, are good in a team and want to be part of growing a great regional business then we’d love to meet you. Commercial kitchen experience is desirable but not essential - if you can cook delicious food, quickly, we can teach you the rest. Of course if y...ou are a chef seeking to make a kitchen your own then that would be ideal. We are happy to consider full or part time positions but you must be available on at least one weekend day. Excellent salary and conditions to be negotiated commensurate with experience. We’re a fun, happy team that value home life as much as work life. If you are interested please email Tamsin via [email protected] - we look forward to hearing from you! See more

20.01.2022 SUNDAY A moment of calm and stillness. Maddy and I are both smitten with @loveteaofficial - these herbal, wellness and traditional teas are blended in Melbourne and everything about them is beautiful, from their entirely biodegradable packaging (even the mesh pyramids), to how they look and smell when you open the box, to their taste (they taste, fresh, beautifully balanced) to, most importantly, how they make you feel. Maddy is studying naturopathy and has tasted most of our range so come and have a chat if you’d like to experience a little of this beauty yourself

02.01.2022 Two joyful things this week - watching on as old friends catch up over long, long lunches... and receiving our first delivery from the fantastic Jay and Kim of @intotherootsfarm Just 18kms away in Bena, these guys are in the first year of a market garden venture that speaks to my heart in an earthy good way. They are producing beautifully grown salads, herbs and root crops (radishes ) and we’ll be sourcing as much as we possibly can from them. When Jay told us he would pick in the morning and deliver in the next hour I shed a few tears. I miss my old food garden so much and for the first time in 18 months I felt that fundamental part of me spark again. Thank you Jay and Kim - I can’t wait to see what beauty we can make together x

01.01.2022 CUTTING ROQUEFORT before breakfast surely means it’s going to be a good day! I had a bit of fun with ordering this week with local and imported blues, Jersey brie, Pyengana cheddar, pecorino, washed rinds and more.
