12.01.2022 Last nights sunset was

08.01.2022 Our first night in sth Australia was bloody cold, well for me as I didn’t get to share the doona with the other two I did get a tattered old yoga blanket however, which has probably had more sweaty asses on it than Ron Jeremy. We got an early start today as I had the car booked in to get the transmission serviced in port Augusta. We had a good look around town while we waited and waited and waited, we seen dolphins swimming in a the river, we climbed the water tower look o...ut, we scoped out the op shops for some bargains (didn’t find a new hat) and we played in every god damn park that we seen. 7 hours flew by! And with that we were back on the road and headed out to shingle beach, a free camp on Fitzgerald bay- This was the first time we’ve set up the new camper after Airlie beach as we’ve been staying in our little tent, the wind was blowing and making it pretty bloody hard and I’m sure the old couple with their chairs facing us next door we’re having a good old laugh. We spent two nights here and took Bohds on his first geocatching tresure hunt and he had a ball. We also took a drive to point lowly to check out the lighthouse at sunset, Sam braved the cold while Bohds and I sat in the car and watched the mighty hawks on my phone. It was a nice couple of relaxing nights but time to move on to our next camp at

08.01.2022 I’m pretty sure we’re up to Monday been losing track of days pretty regularly now probably because we’ve decided to try and keep the spending down by only drinking on Weekends, so now I need to convince Sam every day is Saturday! Our next spot was September beach camp ground in the Lincoln national park, another pretty cool camp spot not as nice as Redcliffe but had a drop dunny and an awesome beach for the kids to swim and play at, we camped here with our friends from ocean... grove which was great because Nicole managed to twist Sams arm into having an alcoholic beverage and his also opened the flood gates for me to have a beer. When packing up at our previous camp we discovered we had a free loading mouse in the car chewing into our long life milk containers so I was out to get him, we got some mouse traps from the supermarket and loaded them with cheese and chocolate. He ate them both and got away with a full belly. The next night I made sure the cheese wasn’t coming off and we had success and he’s now relaxing under a tree in paradise. Next stop was Ruby’s beach not far from streaky bay, it was windy and dusty so we stayed the night packed up early and moved onto our next stop. Perlubie beach- What a spot this was, We met up with three families we had previously camped with and a heap of new families so there were kids everywhere for Bohds to play with. The no grog til the weekend rule had totally gone out the window as it would have been un Australian not to have a beer here. The sites were just lined up down the beach on the sand and we were lucky enough to get a site with a shade hut in the middle and our friends were either side. The drinking began and the shit talking followed. Was lucky enough to get out in the tinny with a mate a few times and catch a feed of whiting. He even took Sam and Bohds out with us one morning, I don’t think she will be welcome back on the boat after bringing bananas and then proceeding to out fish us all with 4 whiting of her own to our 2 each. This would be up there with one of my favourite camp sites even if the make shift urinal did smell like some one had been dropping the Cosby kids in it, but all good things come to an end and after getting the challenger bogged in the sand and getting (new mate) Sam to pull us out we were off again

06.01.2022 Sunday With Another big drive ahead of us we were up bright and early again and back on the the road, the mood was good with the three of us all testing the shovel for the first time. Bohds was definitely the most excited about this and Sam was just happy to get away with no ass bites. We stopped at Cobar for a couple of supplies, a quick visit to the library and a stop off at the op shop for some new pre loved books and hats. I proceeded to lose my hat within 100kms of sit...ting in the passanger seat and one lunch stop but the photos say I had it still after getting back in the car. I feel like maybe I looked so good in it that Sam threw it out the window while I slept so I wouldn’t have any other female attention! We powered on to Silverton to camp the night at Pembroke station, $20 for the night unpowered with showers and toilets, some old play ground equipment. There was also some goats, peacocks and Bohds new friend (as he calls him) Jack the talking bird, who I’m pretty sure only says, hello and what the f**k are you doin. Next morning we were up and about early and after packing and saying our goodbyes to Jack, we took off to check out Silverton famous for its mining and movie history including one of my personal favourites, Mad Max 2. We checked out the famous Silverton hotel, a couple of galleries and then headed for the much anticipated mad max 2 museum and it was.................. Fuckin closed!!! So after I pulled myself together we left silverton and headed into broken hill for a milkshake at a Bells a little 60s style milk bar, which was pretty sweet. We got back on the road and after a quick piss stop at a small town called Yunta where I was greeted at the toilet door with the smell of a thousand vegans assholes on lentil night, we head to our camp for the night. Horrocks pass was the name of this camp not much there just a little free bush camp on the side of the highway just far enough away to drown out the sound of the traffick slightly. Bohds was wrapped that he was aloud to do another Bush poo and he’s getting a good aim on him he hasn’t missed a hole yet. See more
