24.01.2022 Yesterday afternoon this wonderfully creative and colourful lady left this mortal world. Sabine Parge - Textile Artist - touched many people here on the Coast with her amazing creations, imagination and abundant skills. I have been honoured to have known Sabine, first meeting her through The BowerBird Project, where she facilitated workshops, passing along her knowledge, was a keen player in our yarn bombing shenanigans and continued to constantly inspire not only myself but ...those around her with her often quirky creations. Sabine was a strong advocate for the 'Reuse' movement and thrilled with such things as bags made from old oil paintings or crocheted from video tape, cactus crocheted from yarn scraps, beautiful free form crocheted wearable art from snippets of yarn. You could always see the wheels turning as her creativity kicked into gear! We are going to miss her greatly. Vale Sabine.
