25.01.2022 Alternate truths are rife, authenticity is skewed and an orange faced realty mogul is running the world powerhouse. Right now, we're all on edge, and the Festival of Dangerous Ideas is back to challenge any relic of comfort we were holding on to. For promises of sex robots, LSD, fascism and lies, head to The Island on 3 - 4 November. http://www.ethics.org.au/events/festival-of-dangerous-ideas

22.01.2022 Whilst our name, The Bravery, was born in a bar one night in Melbourne, its Sydney that we proudly call our home. Its not new news that Sydney has been battling day and night agendas to keep its title as a world-class international city. Tonight, were excited to join the Night Time Industries Association as a partner to turn that around in the lead up to the NSW Election.... Working on this is a critical and important extension to the work that we do around cities, the way people use and thrive in them. We want to reinvigorate our home and build a new wave of energy, innovation and creativity. We hope this is just the beginning

19.01.2022 In a country as lucky as Australia, you wouldnt think we would have a hidden hunger problem but the stats say something different. In our own backyard, 1 in 5 Aussie kids are going to school hungry and 3.6 million people are facing food insecurity every year. We have been working with the good people at Sanitarium Health and Wellbeing and Weet-Bix to shine a light on Australias hidden hunger problem. Through Sanitariums Good Start Breakfast Club, over 2,200 schools put a ...healthy and nutritious breakfast into the rumbling tummies of school kids each day - meaning that they can focus better in the classroom and be at their best. Jules Sebastian, Good Start Breakfast Clubs ambassador recently went into a GSBC and learned about the work the clubs and the programs partners Foodbank Australia, Kickstart For Kids and Australian Red Cross do and is using her voice to start a national conversation about this important issue and break the social stigma families feel when they are facing food insecurity. 19.01.2022 This is what Australias annual 5 million tonnes of edible food would look like in Sydney Harbour - thats $20 billion each year that is going to waste. Our friends at OzHarvest have launched #fightfoodwaste to help consumers how you can reduce waste in your home. Be part of the solution at https://bit.ly/2JAnRBR

18.01.2022 This week was the launch of #SydneyDoesntSuck, a campaign that works with bars and venues across Sydney to ditch single-use plastic straws. Its been pretty cool to be a part of the team, but whats coolest of all is that with venue commitments to date, a conservative estimate is that weve avoided more than 5 MILLION TURTLE KILLERS in the City of Sydney area alone!

18.01.2022 Would you like to learn how to be a zero waste business, or find out more about the circular economy? If you answered yes to either of the above, take yourself to see Closing the Loop, a documentary being aired at the Institute for Sustainable Futures on August 30. The film is an optimistic exploration of diverse businesses making the change from a linear (take-make-waste) economic model to a circular (zero waste) economic model. ... All ticket proceeds will be going to OneGirl, a not-for-profit dedicated to the education of girls in Africa. For more information and to grab yourself a ticket, click below!

17.01.2022 The Bravery is closed for business! Our fearless leader, Claire Maloney and Ben Peacock and Scott Matyus-Flynn from Republic of Everyone have written a piece in Mumbrella about climate, advertising, creativity and communication. We're just saying what we've always said (climate change is real) and backing it up over a decade of work specifically tackling these, and many other environmental and social issues. And to clarify, we are closed for the rally/strike and our teams are... not being asked or expected to work extra hours because of the closure. And they are not being asked to apply for leave or take this time out of their benefits Plus our clients know and positively support our actions, otherwise, why would they work with us?

07.01.2022 We’ve loved bringing the world’s biggest grassroots movement on climate change to centre stage as WWF Australia Earth Hour Australia's communications agency. With 80% of the world now living under light pollution it’s becoming blindingly obvious we’re losing our connection to nature. Our iconic koalas are declining by 21% per decade and the future of the Great Barrier Reef and the Murray Darling River system is bleak. This #EarthHour take a moment to gaze up at the stars and do your bit by signing up to Earth Hour, triggering a message to be sent to key parliamentarians: Take action on climate change NOW. Head to the link to get involved. Let’s protect the place we call home. #Connect2Earth

07.01.2022 Dont forget to tune into #WarOnWaste tonight at 8:30pm to see our good friends MobileMuster shine a light on electronic waste with all round good guy Craig Reucassel. Its alarming to know there are 25 million unused mobile phones lurking in our homes collecting dust, but MobileMuster has 3,500 collection points around the country where you can drop off your unused phone. Were proud as punch to have worked with the ABC crew to bring this to life! Head to ABC iview to find out more... https://ab.co/2oXwS0A #WaronWasteAU #StoreNoMore #WaronMobileWaste

06.01.2022 These faces of The Bravery Republic of Everyone and Garage Sale Trail women (a further 9 missing in action). Each of them tirelessly dedicate themselves with huge energy and love to a better future for all. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Which reminded us of this gem from Gloria Steinem The future depends entirely on what each of us does every day; a movement is only people moving.

05.01.2022 When Jules Sebastian met Ian Steel, Founder of Kickstart For Kids, she was inspired and humbled (like we all were!) by his compassion for helping vulnerable kids and empowering them to meet their full potential. Working with Sanitarium Health and Wellbeing Weet-Bix through the #goodstartbreakfastclub, Kickstart for Kids provides children with the most vital meal of the day, every day. You can read Jules' full interview with Ian below <3 http://julessebastian.com/the-untold-stories-of-brave-kids/

A year ago we started working on a big project to explore how we travel and how we could be better travellers with Kathmandu It resulted in a massive report into the state of global travel and how #helpfulorharmful we are, plus a mini-doco series with the brilliant Jan Fran - and not to forget; heaps of media coverage. We can all learn from Clare by rethinking how we live today to build a more sustainable tomorrow.

03.01.2022 Were stoked to be airing this laundry, as Unilever ANZ announces a landmark move to introduce at least 25% locally sourced & manufactured recycled plastic into some key brands. Why is this news so fresh and so clean, clean? This is the first time a major brand has come on board to work towards creating a local market for this type of plastic. While also creating new life for 750 tonnes of plastic per year!
