One that would not have been possible without our wonderful staff - past and present. 07.01.2022 Hello friends of The Bread Hound, this is Praveen and Tara! Our family has recently taken over The Bread Hound from Matt and Jess. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue their proud legacy of being the best local bakery in St Lucia. Most of you have probably seen our faces in store already, but we would like to introduce ourselves properly to you. Our family of five include us two, Tara and Praveen, our sons David and Adam and of course, Dobby the hound. Pravee...n’s career has been in finance. Tara works in Hospitality and HR. David is a wildlife scientist and recently moved to Norway to continue his studies. Adam is a budding filmmaker right here in Brissie. Dobby is a very sweet and slightly crazy boy who we love to bits. He is pretty chuffed at his new status as mascot of The Bread Hound. We have previously lived in India, the Middle East and Papua New Guinea, but for over the last 12+ years we call Australia home. St Lucia was actually our very first home in Australia. Our boys went to Ironside and Indro State High, so Hawken Village feels like home already. This is our first family business venture and we are excited to use our skills, creativity and energy in new and exciting ways. We are happiest when our home is filled with the sounds of laughter and the aromas of good food shared with family and friends. That's exactly the feeling we want for The Bread Hound too. We also want to assure you that all of your favourite products will remain the exact same. We are fortunate to have inherited an excellent team of bakers and counter staff from Matt and Jess. We also have some new team members who have joined the mix who we will introduce shortly as we are all working on some exciting new plans for the future! We look forward to getting to know you and are keen to hear any feedback and suggestions you have, so please stop by for a chat any time!
