18.01.2022 Well yesterday was a full on Tuesday for us. So much so that we didn't get to post our update last night. So here it is this morning. Our hub team saw 30 people yesterday and we ran out of food items for our emergency food parcels. We knew our shelves were getting low but didn't anticipate running out altogether. Our dinner crew served 67 meals last night and also distributed 36 fresh food hampers. It was an incredibly busy night and again the heat in the kitchen was o...verwhelming at times. Thank you to all our amazing volunteers yesterday who put in an awesome effort. We couldn't do it without you. Thank you to #OrangeSkyLaundry for supporting our guests at the hub yesterday. 18.01.2022 Breakfast Club will be providing a free community meals on Tuesday and Thursday 4.30pm - 5:30 pm, and Breakfast on Monday, Wednesday & Friday 7:00am to 8:00am for those in need on the Redcliffe Peninsula. We serve our meals at the Pensioner Hall, cnr Portwood St & Oxley Ave, Redcliffe 4020. The Breakfast Club Hub is open Tuesday and Thursday at 2/508 Oxley Ave, Redcliffe from 9:00am to 1:30pm. We can only allow limited access at this time. We provide small emergency food par...cels, supplies for rough sleepers, phone charging, and information about meals and services. The Breakfast Club Outreach happens on a Sunday and Wednesday nights between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. You will see the van at various points around the Redcliffe Peninsula giving out drinks and food to those experiencing homelessness. Please observe social distancing and good hand hygiene when accessing our services. If you are unwell please do not attend but phone us and we will do our best to assist. Breakfast Club is run mainly by an amazing team of volunteers. We use the funds we raise, through fundraising events and donations, to buy food for meals, and to pay rent for the hub and our storage facility. We receive no ongoing government funding. Donations may be dropped off at our hub, 2/508 Oxley Ave on Tuesday or Thursday 9am to 1:30pm. Please come to the side roller door.
